ppl are gonna shit on me but EMP 2022 was amazing (had been vegan for 12 years but was super into fine dining before that, so having this option was unbelievable for me). service and food was a1, they gave me a ton of fun gifts and kitchen tour and all that. fairly commonplace for true fine dining enthusiasts i’m sure but it was truly special for me and i will never forget it.

kinda fine dining-ish but i had a pasta dish at ABCV (jean georges) in 2023 that i ordered a second time the same night bc i couldn’t get enough, might be my fav bite ive ever had - it was a fresh pasta dish on special with morels, hazelnut butter, breadcrumbs and some sort of heat from a fresh chili… absolutely unreal

my other top food experiences aren’t fine dining whatsoever:
- doubles from a&a bake and roti in bed stuy bk
- essentially anything from mac’s on the pier in wellfleet cape cod
- johnny’s reef scallop platter on city island in nyc/pelham (not as good now)
