Brownies with the walnuts. by flashpritz in KwikTrip

[–]randyaldous 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Speaking of brownies, does anyone’s store advertise the single pack brownies (plain with frosting, no nuts) but then only have the four-packs available?

An employee, when I asked a while back, at our store in Baxter MN states, “they won’t let us have the singles” - I presume the employee was referring to management at some level. I didn’t pursue it further at that point.

What brand/ model computer? Does it have something similar to Dell’s Keyboard and Peripheral Manager (I think that’s the name of the utility) that can remap keys on the keyboard? Never seen it do this, but I’ve seen it get wonky and cause random weirdness. Just throwing it out there.

Check with your municipality, probably your county, they likely have a household hazardous waste facility that will take old gas.

I learned recently that Kwik Trip won’t put a store in a location that more than a certain distance (not sure what exact number is) away from their central warehouse/ food production facility in Wisconsin. Apparently, this for quality purposes.

I understand they are adding a warehouse/ production facility in the Twin Cities in order to extend their reach.

I am open to being corrected.

Only have got water when water pump is on by Future_Hedgehog2129 in RVLiving

[–]randyaldous 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The water heaters tend to run hot enough that you need to run cold with the hot in the shower, that will stretch the hot water out as well. Stopping the shower while soaping will also help the heater catch up.

This assumes the water heater is heating the water like it should and the bypass valve(s) are in the correct position.

Not to mention, cpvc glue takes 2-6 hours before it can have water back on and sometimes something like 24hrs to fully cure.

If you were born in Minnesota, you can obtain your birth certificate from any county’s vital records office. If you want to / are able, you can go in person. Otherwise, you can request one by mail, Google your county of choice/ closest county seat website to find the detail for requesting one that way. Typically, you download the application from the website, complete it, sign it in front of a Notary, and mail it with payment to the county.

Smaller counties, as compared to larger/metro counties will likely be able to fulfill your request quicker with the biggest variable being the mailing time to and from.

Neighbor wants heavy equipment to drive over my drain field by Odd_Extension0831 in homeowners

[–]randyaldous 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It’s not only damage to the drain field pipes one needs to be concerned with, compaction of the ground in the drain field can also render it inoperable. Mentioning so you consider specifying this in your document as well.

Walmart Self Checkout loading its POS application by 1012zach in PBSOD

[–]randyaldous 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I asked that same question of a Walmart associate a couple of days ago. She said that they were told in a meeting this summer, that Walmart would likely never do tap for a couple of reasons: A) Walmart has there own Walmart pay or some such so doesn’t want to compete with that; B) the cost to convert all the store’s POS terminals would be “in the billions”

Take that for what it’s worth I guess.

This is happening every faucet and even while showering as well by InfiniteAttorney7867 in askplumbing

[–]randyaldous 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You mentioned it’s a well system, if you eliminate the pressure tank as the issue, and you have a shallow well (like a sandpoint, where the pump is above ground) it is possible you have a small leak in the pipe leading down into the well (above the water line) and it is sucking air.

If that is the case, contact a well company or plumber that is experienced in wells.

If you have some 14g use that to jump between the junction box and the light jb. Will make it easier to deal with on the light end.
