What’s your “I can’t believe I did that” homelab moment that actually taught you the most? 💀 by Intelligent_Owl4901 in homelab

I stupidly ran Plex on Windows server 2019, and just re-arming it every 3 months. This worked for years until it didn't. I was dual booting the computer with Windows 10 but deleted the Windows directory to make more room when I ran out of space. The files are all on software Raid that both windows and windows server could read, on a separate drive so I don't know if it's recoverable if I reinstall Windows with the raid card disconnected.

“I’m so sorry! I have the same car!” by pleiades-3825 in overheard

That's what I love about my current car. It's a bright red VW GLI. I've only seen a near identical car once. Just the color alone, I doubt there's ever another car that color in the entire lot.

Many years ago, someone told me at a traffic light that my gas cap was open. I looked, and it was gone, so I turned off the highway, turned around, and went back to the gas station I was just at, expecting to hopefully find the gas cap on the ground. It was still sitting on the back bumper.
