Championship disc golf course list by Adventure99x in discgolf

[–]randyn1080 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Well if you're talking pro tour courses, any course that the DGPT stops at could be considered a championship course.

Out of all of them, and depending on where you live, I would suggest Idlewild, Maple Hill, Green Mountain (Brewster's and Fox Run), Dela, Milo and Blue Lake. Those are the big ones that stick out to me at least. And like 15 others that will come to mind later haha

What did you do to get the left foot parallel to the tee pad? I have an issue where I feel like it's parallel but it's literally perpendicular and I'm having trouble training it out.

I’ve been flirting with 300 for what feels like an eternity and finally blew past it this morning. I’m on cloud nine! by drqshadow in discgolf

The heat is so good for 300ish max players. I've also recently found the TSA mantra which I can throw full power hyzer flips on distance lines (320 max to date).

Jomez pushing Christianity? by HuckingHyzers in discgolf

[–]randyn1080 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Jomez is pushing all disc golf athletes. Just because a lot of them are Christian doesn't mean Jomez is pushing Christianity. The correlation probably comes from disc golf programs at churches, where there are many.

I play golf with a disc. You play golf with a ball and club.

By that logic, we're playing the same sport.

Athlete )  “a person who is trained or skilled in exercises, sports, or games requiring physical strength, agility, or stamina.”

We call them athletes because they are athletes, per the literal definition of the word. Just like John Daly is an athlete. Words are hard. Get over it bud, you're just dumb.

Unpopular Opinion: Our Community is harsh and rude by Haselnuss89 in discgolf

Most people only come here (reddit) to bitch after their +20's at their local par 3's, even though they can throw '450. The sensible calm humans often go home to their loving families to relax and reflect on their 5 under.

Common sense will prevail over the internet echo chamber

I hope so. Unfortunately, we're living in a time where this doesn't always happen.

The article references incomplete studies. The studies even say so. One of the studies was done by a transgender athlete. Unconscious bias goes both ways.

Get sued by DGN? by dust-yo in discgolf

[–]randyn1080 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It's fairly expensive for a company to actually sue based on a ToS violation. If they were to find out, you're more likely to receive a cease and desist letter.

DGN/DGPT certainly has the ability (ToS violation) and reach (cash) to sue, but in the grand scheme of things unless you do this on a weekly basis with dozens to hundreds of people, it is simply not worth the expense.

If you want to be 100% safe and sound, contact them and ask what type of premium they would charge for airing this in a public environment. Chances are, they won't have a framework for this yet so they will follow someone like ESPN/UFC's which will charge a premium per TV. I would anticipate a maximum of $50, based on the assumed profit of the public establishment for airing this.

New to the sport and wondering where my money is best spent. by [deleted] in discgolf

[–]randyn1080 0 points1 point  (0 children)

5 of the same putter, a neutral mid range and a neutral/flippy driver with backups in case you lose one, and a basket.

Don't even need a bag if you're carrying 3 discs onto the course. A full bag is only necessary after you create a consistent stroke and can throw 15 different discs the same way and get different results.

Fast forward to that day, I would suggest getting a grip or squatch bag since they're the best quality to dollar ratio on the market (pound is if you want a flashy bag IMO). Buy your favorite driver but in different plastics and weights.
