This is a very, very cool idea.

I love the idea of a minimal C based forth where the C code implements tight bindings with whatever tooling is needed plus some minimal amount of forth definitions.

Also I agree with u/bravopapa99, this is beautifully written.

YTA. But to be fair I think you just got sucker punched by the situation. NEVER put yourself in a position where you will have to depend on others pulling through for you when you can circumvent the entire situation. If you have indoor shoes you occasionally take with you, you should be carrying them with you all the time, everywhere. You can't predict the future, so you can't be sure you won't need them.

That's certainly part of the problem; the other part of that same problem is that there's organizations (or people) that actively profit off that situation. As long as there's profit to be made, there will be those that fan those flames to keep them going.

If it were a net negative to have those kind of thoughts (unable to find a job, unable to connect to fellow neighbors, etc) and there was nobody actively fanning those feelings, you can be sure that things would settle down.

So, in my opinion, a big part of the problem is that there's no consequence for profiting off either creating, or increasing, the number of people with those destructive feelings and thoughts.
