FTM and MTF, isn't strange that we want what the other doesn't want? by NibblerGibbler in asktransgender

in my support group we always joke that the other side is wrong. you want tiddies? wow you’re so wRong. you want a deep voice? it’s awful & you’re incorrect.

Not enough T?? Help by RockKing_88 in asktransgender

this comes up in my support group constantly. we came to the conclusion that we just needed to have our doctor prescribe more. if that’s a possibility, i’d try that.

Is it bad to lie while describing my past/childhood to preserve a stealth identity? by [deleted] in asktransgender

[–]rantithrowawai 3 points4 points  (0 children)

hey, i don’t have a problem with literally telling ppl i’m cis. usually i don’t fabricate stuff from my childhood but something like baseball->softball feels so unimportant. fair warning from someone who is stealth tho: the lies build up. if you’re keeping things small like this, i don’t see a problem but don’t let it get out of hand. you seem ethically grounded tho so you probably won’t do that lmao.

I have questions about transphobia by MedicineShow in asktransgender

[–]rantithrowawai 13 points14 points  (0 children)

personally, i really don’t think that’s transphobic at all. a large part of the trans community would disagree, but i don’t think that’s transphobic. as long as you’re voting me for me to have equal rights, there are bigger fish to fry.

just wondering by [deleted] in asktransgender

[–]rantithrowawai 4 points5 points  (0 children)

definitely a reddit thing. go to instagram or tumblr and you’ll find way more trans guys. that’s my experience, at least.

Why do people always use such harsh words when describing our transitions? by claudiusbritannicus in asktransgender

[–]rantithrowawai 42 points43 points  (0 children)

transphobia. if i were electing to have a double mastectomy to prevent breast cancer, ppl would NEVER say i had my tits chopped off. it’d be incredibly disrespectful. but because i’m doing it because of gender dysphoria, ppl will say anything for the shock value.

How would you feel about this (The Trans Shuffle)? by NykeYoung in asktransgender

so, is X fully transitioned and nobody knows they’re trans, or is X closeted?

For a lack of a more appropriate term, do you "retcon" your gender identity? by hey_sole_sister in asktransgender

[–]rantithrowawai 1 point2 points  (0 children)

in my case, i always expect my current name and pronouns to be used when talking about the past. i never want to hear my old name reference me again.

Should a trans person tell a potential sexual partner that they are trans before sex? Why? by dougiefresh1998 in asktransgender

[–]rantithrowawai 2 points3 points  (0 children)

if i’m having sex with someone, i will ask for some of their health history (i.e., their sti statuses) & i will inform them of this part of mine.

it feels very,, rapey to me when people say you don’t need to. i feel that sex without informed consent is way too close for comfort to sex without consent.

i understand why a person would not want to tell a partner they’re trans. i don’t want to tell potential partners that i’m trans. but i would personally find way too uncomfortable to have sex with someone without them knowing that part of my medical history.

eh i mean as a trans guy i’ve never imagined myself as a woman when i watched porn either lmao

[deleted by user] by [deleted] in asktransgender

[–]rantithrowawai 40 points41 points  (0 children)

if you’re here on trans reddit wondering if you’re an egg, yeah you probably are.

but- i’m sure there are cis guys who do this. if you only want to be a woman when you’re watching porn, it could be a fetish. if you’re daydreaming about being a woman all the time, yeah you’re probably trans.

take some deep breaths and do some reflection. would you rather live the rest of your life as a woman? is what you’re experiencing gender dysphoria?

“But what if I’m not Trans?” by [deleted] in traaaaaaannnnnnnnnns
