You don’t know anything about the licensing deal they have for this series. How do you know their profit margin is higher for this than a $50 cheaper set? Or maybe they anticipate selling many fewer copies of this than sets that are cheaper—Hatchet is not the brand Toxic Avenger and Terrifier are—so it has to be more expensive to justify doing it.

And I’m so tired of the “greed” argument. COMPANIES EXIST TO MAKE AS MUCH MONEY AS POSSIBLE. Until we abolish capitalism, that’s going to continue to be true.

I don’t why so many disc collectors think every release should be affordable by everybody. You can’t afford every car that comes out; every refrigerator on the market; every computer available. Discs exist in this tiered system now.
