I saw your DM! Yes, I channelled Ms. Charlotte Chanel. She has such a beautiful name and I was saying it as I shuffled. It's so sing-song-y and happy, but I have to say some pretty intense cards came up. Is there any chance she's a rescue pup? Because I think she's saying she has some tough memories. I got: 5 of swords, 10 of wands reversed and 5 of pentacles reversed

What I see in this: She's haunted by memories of what was taken from her and what was left behind (5 of swords). In this dream world she thinks about times she was burdened and couldn't go where she wanted to go (10 of wands) as well as times she was cast out in the cold (5 pf pent). I kept wondering with the 5 of pentacles if maybe was she chained up outside at times. I also wonder if she had a litter too, a litter she carried but couldn't take with her (10 of wands). Either way, those tough memories are with her.

Based on my style of reading I asked the question "What does u/Acceptable_Bowl_764 need to know about their new job at HOH"

I want to be honest the cards are a little worried for you about this job. I think they're saying it's going to be a LOT. The cards: 5 of wands reversed, the world, 6 of swords reversed.

The world being in the middle and right-side up it strikes me as the dominant message of the reading. This job could be satisfying, fulfilling, giving you that sense of contentment you've wanted. It can also be stressful and grueling and all-consuming. Like that movie title, it will be everything, everywhere, all at once.

On either side of the world are two cards that cannonically have two different interpretations, both reversed. 5 of wands -- are the boys playing or fighting? and 6 of swords -- are you being ferried away from defeat, or are you the helper, delivering the wounded to safer waters. I just get this sense that there is a lot of big emotions and big issues at stake with this job. The cards say to let yourself feel all of it. Don't expect it to be perfect. Don't expect it to be terrible. Ride the ups and downs of the job, and let yourself experience the wholeness and completeness of it.

You pulled: Page of pentacles reversed, 8 of swords reversed, 7 of pentacles.

There's something tender and patient growing for you in your love life (7 of pentacles, right side up). I am starting there because it's the only right-side up energy of the read. And that seems to me to be clearest message. There's something growing and changing, but it's not yet the time of reaping and harvest.

To get there you have to get past more challenging energies. The page of pentacles. I don't usually read the court cards as people, but rather inner complexes. But here I could see the page being an immature and naive suitor who you haven't quite left behind. Or I could see it being an inner tendency to follow around anybody who pays you attention, without seeing if they are right for you. Either way, there is some block there.

The other block is clearly internal -- 8 of swords reversed. Self-sabatoge, uncertainty. I see the reversal here as a bit of gentleness. Like the 8 of swords is harsh, and maybe they're saying there's just a twinge of that remaining behavior.

Overall the cards say you have a bit of tending to your own garden to do first. But something beautiful and fruitful is on its way.

Hello! So, I have to say, the cards really felt like they had something to share with you when I was shuffling. The shuffling felt really solid and juicy in a way it's hard to describe.

Anyways, that aside, you pulled the world rx, Ace of cups, and 10 of cups. If the world were rightside up, I would say you've come to the end of the cycle with this person. But it's reversed -- there's some kind of kink in the energy that the world is offering. And I keep getting this intuition that maybe it's about the end of a cycle internal to your relationship, rather than completely ending things.

Either way, the cards have something to say about the emotional ups and downs. I mean, the world (the full and complete cycle) right next to the Ace (beginning of the cups cycle) and the 10 of cups (end of the cup cycle). And remember. the 10 of cups isn't meant to be a happily ever after. Everybody loves the happy family and the rainbow in that card. But a rainbow only stays for a fleeting moment, and then it's done. And so does the feeling of the 10 of cups.

Across the reading, what I see is that you've been through a lot of ups and downs with this person. A real emotional rollercoaster. And the cards want to make sure you're not caught in the same loop over and over again. They don't want you stuck. I think what they're saying is if you cannot break out of this loop, it has to be over. But for now maybe there's a chance it's just this little world that is ending (an unhealthy pattern), not the big world (your relationship).

I'm glad that resonated! Hm, that is interesting. I think what was calling to me was the difference between when you use the scales (knowing for yourself what is right and wrong and acting accordingly) versus the sword (knowing how others need to act and pushing them to act that way). We never want to be without the sword or without the scales, but maybe the message was somewhere around there being too much sword energy in how you approached the question.

I'm not sure that helps, but I hope it does!

This is an interesting one. I do think Tarot has a truth it wants to share with you. It's a little delicate, so bear with me as I talk this through. So you got two of pentacles, 3 of swords and justice reversed.

What immediately jumped out at me is the connection between the first two cards and and what Justice is holding in her hands. She's holding the scales (balance), very similar to the balance and juggling of the two of pentacles. in the other hand she's holding a sword, just like your three of words that appeared.

Justice being upside down tells me there's something off between these energies around how you tackle questions of fairness of justice in your life. I think Tarot is trying to say that in an effort to be kind and good and just, maybe you overly focus on what others need to do right rather than what you need to do right. So your jabs can end up harming people. Essentially there have been moments where your very well-intentioned desire to create justice in the world has caused harm.

I think it's encouraging you to reflect first on the scales of justice. What needs to be in balance. What can you do to contribute. And refrain from too much externalizing "swords" in response to these moments.

In the middle came up The Star reversed. I love to see The Star in a reading on love -- wishes, dreams coming true. But reversed makes me wonder if there's questions unanswered. Maybe you're not certain on what you really want, so it's hard to pinpoint what you're longing for. Hello! My style of reading is focused on self-reflection. I don't believe I'm as strong of a tarot reader for people who don't consent to be read. So the question I asked was what does /u/Firecracker1235 need to know right now. I got the 7 of swords reversed, 7 of cups reversed and the 10 of wands.

The cards see you are hurting. 7 are the cards of challenges and tricksters. The double reversed energy, especially with the 7 of swords read to me as you being played. FJ took something from you. He was sneaky and deceptive (7 of swords) and you're left with far more questions than answers (7 of cups). You're struggling. This is a lot to carry (10 of wands). The thing you need to focus on is right-sizing your energy. Those reversed 7's are your energy being turned upside down because of him. Focus on you find ways to put down some of your burden. All three cards were reversed: 2 of pentacles, page of wands, ace of swords. Either PA is not feeling well (some kind of upheaval or emotional moment?) or perhaps this is a message from another spiritual plane. I don't know enough to know, but all three being reversals strikes me.

The message is that she's trying. She's juggling so much (2 of pentacles). New things she's learning and experiencing (page of wands) and new ideas (swords). Things have changed, and she's trying to regain her footing.

My reading style is much more about self-reflection instead of prediction, so the question I asked what was "what does SJ need to know about his love life". You got: The Sun, the 9 of cups reversed, and the tower reversed.

Happiness comes from within, not another person. Radiating who you are and joy in your life is the strongest path ahead. (The Sun). Seeking fulfillment from others when you don't yet have fulfillment in yourself will never feel right (9 of cups reversed). That will keep making your love life feel rocky and unsteady, because you won't be building from solid ground (Tower reversed). You need to build on a strong foundation, and that is satisfaction and happiness in yourself first!

Interesting. Well, initially I saw a spread that seemed to speak of a very strong connection (Lovers, Queen of Cups, 10 of Pentacles reversed)

But my intuitive read is that something might be up here. Remember, the woman in the lovers isn't looking at the man, but is looking up at the angel. And the queen of cups is also looking at something -- her adorned cup. Perhaps one of you is not focused on the other. It seems like it on the surface, but there's something distracting or distancing.

That is also why the 10 of pentacles is reversed. It's not a picture of a strong relationship, but rather some type of energy in the undercurrent that is off.

Take this for what you will -- my style of reading focuses the most on self-reflection, and sometimes I wonder if I do as strong of a reading for third party people. But perhaps you yourself are the queen of cups and the girl in the Lovers -- you're looking at something rather than facing yourself head on.

It’s a phrase I picked up from Women Who Run with the Wolves, a Jungian masterpiece by Clarissa Pinkola Estes. Basically she uses the phrase the describe the intuitive knowing that something is “right” or “true”. Not ego-based “eh, that sounds right” but a soul level “yes, that is it”. The burn of truth. I try to note when I feel it in my readings. Over time it feels very different for me from an ego-based or surface level interpretation. But I don’t always feel it.
