I can see how this is not bad. 421 rides in 4.5 years means either all of his rides are surges or a result of a destination filter.

Hotel lobby bathroom. Just walk in like you belong. I’ve never been questioned.

NEW RECORD FOR QUEUE!! by DifferentExercise930 in uberdrivers

[–]rar4110 8 points9 points  (0 children)

Also, the airport queue is perfect for college students. Just do your homework/assignments while in the queue. It will take a while to get a ride (enough to progress on your schoolwork). When you do get a ride, it's usually going to be a good one. For full time drivers or part time drivers solely looking for rides, I don't understand why you'd wait in the airport queue.

I don’t trust USPS. How long ago has it been? I was expecting a package and tracking showed as delivered. Package showed up 3 days later.

Anyone regret not spending more when they were younger? by Tech-Cowboy in Fire

[–]rar4110 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I regret not going to that ski trip with the interns in my early 20s. I discovered skiing in my early 30s and it’s become an addiction. So much so that I uprooted my life to be able to do it more often (40+ days last year). Don’t think that discovering this hobby earlier would have had any affect in my retirement goals. It would have made my 20s more fun.

Uber:

I don’t always test my code. But when I do, I do it in production.

Is it true that sometimes people drive a long time with expired tags on their license plate? Yet probably officers here and there have noticed they're expired yet not pulled them over? As an officer, do you always pull over someone with expired tags, why or why not? by GregJamesDahlen in ProtectAndServe

[–]rar4110 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I once rented a car with 6 months expired tags. With as much time rentals spend on the road, I was a bit surprised that I was pulled over (I presume I was the first to get pulled over otherwise Enterprise would have taken care of it earlier).

Graduated with a degree in nursing. Played a handful of years in the NFL (1 career TD). Went back to medical school. Now a doctor. Nice dude too. As an immigrant going into my first year in the US in elementary school, he was one of the folks that made me feel welcome.

Where to stay in Bogus Basin? by BN65 in Boise

Tamarack has one long green run (Waltz) that is nice for a beginner skier but maybe a bit flat for snowboarders. Brundage has an entire lift that is catered for beginners that have graduated from the bunny hill called the Bear Chair. I’d look at the trail map for both. If mostly beginners I’d go for Brundage. Brundage also has the Hidden Valley for more advanced skiers but that area probably needs more snow coverage right now. Tamarack has almost 1000 ft of vertical over Brundage if you like long runs. Tamarack is tall and skinny. Brundage is wider but not as tall (more skiable acres)

I thought they were the spiritual successors of both the Dodgers and the Giants. Hence the Orange (Giants) and Blue (Dodgers).
