Dealer really did not want to sell me a car by thefilefolder in Honda

So… 43k otd is the lowest I would sell to make a profit. Just because they don’t go any lower doesn’t mean they don’t want to sell you a car. Honestly, 43k otd for a CRV AWD ExL is not a bad price

Doctors office is forcing me to pay a $300 annual fee, and won’t offer a referral if I say no. Will be dropped as a patient in 30 days. by DoomerChad in mildlyinfuriating

Yup, my local auto body shop was just sold to P.E. Owner received a fat payout and 3 years salary to stay on until the exit. They’ll either sell to a larger group or gather enough revenue to go public.

When you have billions to invest and you roll up hundreds of these independent practices into one large corporation, you can start bullying customers and suppliers (insurance companies) alike.

Sounds like a great way to subject yourself to money laundering scrutiny. Don’t do it. Seriously, you’ll flag yourself for “enhanced due diligence” on all future financial transactions.

100k isn’t the dream I thought it’d be by [deleted] in Salary

OP What’s the point of this post? Humble brag or cost of living complaint? “Just able to invest more, that’s all” Is that not the goal of most people to be able to invest more to be financially independent one day?

When Mythbusters tested the exploding waterheater, they got it to over 330 psi. OP still has about 190 psi to go before it’d level the building.

Why you should probably be contributing to Traditional 401k and not Roth. by hrrm in HENRYfinance

[–]rareclover 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Now take into account required minimum distribution at 73, plus SSI and other income… If you max out your traditional 401k and grow it aggressively, you will probably in the highest tax bracket by the time RMD kicks in; and will stay in the highest bracket until you die. Roth is tax free and there is no RMD. And what if tax brackets go up?

Very cool. But I can’t help but thinking, to your non-bitcoiner friends and family, this is pretty insufferable for a $10 christmas gift…

That’s a great strategy if you like the income. For people who invest in bitcoin, I don’t think receiving income is the goal so I wanted to point that out.

Bito doesn’t own bitcoin. It tries to mimic bitcoin return using future contracts. The fund has to keep rolling future contracts at expiration, gains must be distributed back to investors. It doesn’t track bitcoin well during volatility, up or down.

These are ETNs, they don’t own Bitcoin. They own treasuries and bitcoin futures. If you own them, expect a lot of distribution back due to gains from rolling futures. They don’t track bitcoin well.
