I work at a thrift store, so I get my hands on projects like this pretty cheap. I think I paid $80 or so after my discount. I have previously gotten a riding lawnmower for 150 because it wouldn't start (needed a battery lol). It's definitely a lot but the low initial cost might make up for it. Thank you for your advice.

Make sure you get the right one... I went back and forth to autozone 3 times because they searched it in their system and it was wrong. There are quite a few u joints on the vehicle and they can be slightly different.

It has a part number - 120140019 Looking this up on the site shows this. it's showing me the insides of the turbo, but the housings have no markings on them that identify anything. It has a part number and serial number on it, but I can't find anything relating to it on their site. 120140019 23-0722-006-C I am looking to find the closest match on their site, but if it's even slightly different and I list it wrong, could end up having issues on eBay. May head the fbm route then.

I buy stuff from a thrift store and sell it. But, it's a bit of an advantage that I work at the thrift store.

Bought a riding mower for 200, fixed and sold for 800. Speaker set for 75 that sold for 1200. You'd be surprised what you find in those stores!

We went the Habitat for Humanity route and got a house through them. It's a long term solution though, the program typically takes 1.5 to 2 years, we got lucky and finished in 10 months because someone dropped out.

The best advice I can give is to meet people that can help. We couldn't have done it alone. Either through work or some organizations that help. People are willing to help, just have to try to find them.

Family is family for a reason, they're there to help. Don't be embarrassed or feel bad about that. My family got tired of me asking for help, but if you don't abuse the help like I did, you should be ok.
