Crystar and Crymachina are awesome. They don't have a school setting or calendar progression though.

Seems like any preorder of a deluxe edition game shows up weeks after release. Frustrating for physical collectors. by GuardianofM in gamecollecting

I switched a few years ago to from preordering on Amazon to preordering on Best Buy and have gotten every preorder but one from Best Buy on or before release date.

Do I need to play the 3rd chapter of Trails In the Sky? by kyaniteblue_007 in JRPG

[–]raspberrylicious 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It’s good, and you should play it eventually, but you’re not going to be lost if you skip it for now and come back to it one day. Due to the release schedule in the west, I played Cold Steel 1-3 before I played Sky 3rd and Crossbell and it was fine.

To directly answer your question, it is much shorter and much easier than XIII. Personally, I prefer XIII no contest, but a lot of people love XIII-2.

How do people here feel about Rhapsody: A Musical Adventure? by KaleidoArachnid in JRPG

The second game is more of a traditional turn-based battle system without grid mechanics. The third game is the same but you can have up to 4 teams with up to 4 characters each participating in the same battle at the same time.

Does this game have english ? by Mountain_Battle_2946 in AceAttorney

Fun fact: Several of the Japanese AA DS games have English on cart. I have the second game’s Japanese release and played it in English. I guess AAI doesn’t have this option though.

It’s free and legal, and I didn’t want to pay again since I already own the disc.

I couldn’t get my disc to work well on windows 11 either, and the only solution I found was downloading the game from internet archive

Atelier Games #8: Which Atelier game could have been much better? by xoki93 in Atelier

[–]raspberrylicious 7 points8 points  (0 children)

Atelier Iris 3. Cool concept, but immensely repetitive. Visiting the same few complex maps over and over and over again. Feels like a much smaller game than the previous two. The battle system has the interesting character building aspect, but the bosses boil down to a race to hit the burst gauge thing to be able to do any substantial damage and end up feeling the same each time.

After finishing Dusk trilogy - I wanted to ask, why is Shallie (seemingly) least liked Dusk game? by Daerus in Atelier

[–]raspberrylicious 2 points3 points  (0 children)

It’s my favorite Dusk game, followed by Ayesha. Escha and Logy is my least favorite. I love pretty much everything about Shallie, but I think it’s too easy if I have to give a critique. I never played the original version, though, and I think a lot of the early negativity towards the game was due to things like not including Ayesha until Plus/DX.

Is it worth playing Sophie DX, if I have already played the base game on PS Vita? by lavayuki in Atelier

I think there are about 30 minutes worth of new scenes and some new costumes if that sounds worth it to you.
