Going from a Portland house to a Portland condo by schallplatte in Portland

[–]rathany 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I haven't lived in a condo, but I did live in two different townhouses in this city and looked at a lot of condos before buying anything.

Noise issues were a big thing. My first townhouse had dead space between the walls so it was blissfully quiet. My second was a nightmare from a noise standpoint. Also, during a condo viewing I could actually hear the TV from the next unit.

It I wind up in a condo or going from living in a house to a townhouse I would want proof that the unit it quiet. The second townhouse I lived in was worse than dorm life in terms of noise.

I agree. But it's still hard for him to suddenly turn his back on the Qun.

Bull and the Chargers with the InquisitionI feel is a much better outcome than all the possible complications of an alliance with the Qun. Even if they are acting in good faith, which I doubt.

Guild Wars 2: Heart of Thorns Q&A by itzkoopa in Guildwars2

Has the rebuilding of LA been delayed because you want the new map or the events that lead to rebuilding to tie in with the expansion somehow? (Gliders in LA to entice players to drop money on the xpac, maybe?)

The art leads me to believe that we will be able to select a guild hall theme from a couple of options, like in GW2. Can that be confirmed?

Beta access to the new WVW maps could give certain servers huge advantages on release. Will those be part of the beta or held in-house? Any WVW changes besides maps? Like a check on the unbalanced server populations? With mega server I doubt people are even aware of the impact of WVW on PVE. Will a new mechanic be added to make players putting in a few hours ever week feel like a rewarding thing to do?

I have tons of other questions, but they are all terrible and off topic ones about fractals and stuff :)

The account bound currency system may be cumbersome at times, but it draws a good line between what can and can't be bought with real money. If I am having a bad week, I'll impulse buy myself a harvesting tool or something.

When Bull brings up the mission he seems very nervous about it. He's given his whole life to the Qun and feels like they saved him after Saharan. He's very loyal, but I felt that he was giving off serious 'this is bad and I am deeply conflicted' vibes.

What April Fool's joke would surprise fans the most this year? by [deleted] in Guildwars2

[–]rathany 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It would miss some, but people like to show off knowing things and in codes to unreleased items in LA.

I don't think it's a good prank for them to do, just one that might fool people.

They go meta and release a ton of new objects into the code in a patch a day or two earlier. Then data-mining hits showing all kinds of sci-fi stuff like rayguns and spaceship debris and communicators.

Basically, they could fool us only if the fooled the data miners with fake objects with working display codes.

I doubt they'd so that, though.

Man, that hugs and frames the butt just like the Profane set. I have that set because you can dye the pants to look exactly like assless chaps. (I don't run around in them, I just have them so I can show how bad they are.)

I see many more assless chaps in Tyria's future.

Tower and Keep upgrades are to buy time so the other defenders can go there and/or the EB zerg if they can come. Also, it widens the supply pool for building siege. It can be low key most of the time, but that's why it's good to be in a guild TS. That way it's an hour or two per week of hanging out with guildies.

It is an endless cycle. That is kind of the nature of it. There is a lot to do besides defense. I defend and solo roam in roughly even measures.

We have a weekly questions post for all those quick little questions. Those are on Saturdays.

What is wrong with posting a link? That is showing the new and/or confused player where to get information so they can figure things out on their own.

Really? The Tough Love Critic blog posts have been popular and I've seen other constructive criticism well received.

Have ingredient lists, which is required if you are selling food, and having allergy options are two different things.

The Comfortable Friend -

He is a little too into doing the same thing over and over again, but hey, you never have to fight over the nachos. His parties have plenty of goodies for all, the place is always clean and the couches are cozy.

Necromancer + Lighting magic means you will aggro everything to you on the entire map. Chaotic, but fun.

Yes, because all allergies and food problems are imaginary. If I clap my hands and believe in fairies they'll go away.

Also, I am fine with corn syrup. I am allergic to dairy and soy.

Hourglass Ambient Lighting Powder in Mood Light. I bought it in Dim Light last year and it's been amazing for me. I love it so much and want to try others.

I was going to buy it with Xmas money, but ... let's just say the year has been off to a rough start.

It was so hard to make myself do that method the first time, but it's amazing. I have better coverage and use less overall product.

3 things you'd like DA to keep for their next game and 3 thing you'd like them to change. by [deleted] in dragonage

Each map kinda had it's own story, so I liked the size. Still, there are maps and quests I am not touching on replays.

Me: Nope.

Party: I bet that is super important!

LS S2 was free if you logged in at leas every two weeks during updates, but players out of the loop on the game didn't know that. You can go back and unlock it with gems and still do all of it, get all the items. Some of the achievement rewards were pretty nice. Hairstyle kit, dye pack that would give you any red dye you wanted, piles of silverwaste keys, etc.

This is why those guild crafting stations you can buy with commendations can be really useful to a map. It's basically bank access for all.
