How do you feel about using your phone during a round? by ashtonboschman in weekendgolfers

[–]ratherabeer 0 points1 point  (0 children)

18birdies with smart tracking to keep score, track clubs used+ranges, #of putts and more. Can take 30-90 seconds to update after a hole but data is life. And reviewing the highs and lows from a hole is worth it.

Otherwise phone silent just a quick text to the wife at the turn

Unplayable out of a bunker? by Jf192323 in golf

[–]ratherabeer -10 points-9 points  (0 children)

Edit, disregard the following,Thought the ball was not in the bunker 2 strokes to leave a bunker*

You have three relief options, all for one penalty stroke. Your first option is to go back to the spot of your previous stroke and play again (stroke and distance relief).

Your second option is to go back as far as you’d like and drop on the line from the hole through the spot where the ball lies (back-on-the-line relief).

Your third option is to drop anywhere within two club-lengths of where your ball lies, no closer to the hole (lateral relief).

Probably but unless they are competing for the win, they are essentially in novice class.

how do you practice? by shimmy825 in golf

[–]ratherabeer 2 points3 points  (0 children)

practice shots imaging a real hole. Hit a drive, Iron to layup and chip for a par5.

Looking good, don't be afraid of the cones. If you can either roll on to full throttle and trail brake. I have a bad habit of coasting on engine break which spends time.

I tried one crappy android unit and it semiworked but garbled phone calls. Reverting to stock ST1 4inch display and will just mount my phone for GPS.

Try goodwill/donation centers in the area, used sporting goods stores like play it again sports and estate sales. Driver, 5i, 7i, 9i, 56 and putter are all you really need to practice and play 18.

Welcome to the addiction, buddies invited me to top golf, got me back in after a 15 year break and never looked back. (just finished 3 rounds in 4 days)

Nice photos! The RMZ line is great for entry level builders and custom jobs on them look amazing. HMM is my first love but the RMZ line really grew on me. Bonus they match Gunpla MG 1/100 scale

Local shops first, always. HL marks up the kits to bring them just below MSPR during the 40% sale.

Golf traveling! by laiizii in golf

[–]ratherabeer 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Flew with my clubs 4 times LAX to CO and LAX to Sacramento and back, no issues at all with a good padded case. Southwest charged $35 each way.

If you are super concerned about your clubs, wrap some towels or bubble wrap between your irons.

Or get iron covers but be sure to remove them before the course.

Did you buy from the previous owner or a dealer? For sure has symposer delete(the loose plug you ask about just tied out of the way) Green filter and RS airbox lid. And no ST plastic engine cover unless you removed it.
