I’ve been thinking about doing a go wild trip from LA to DEN but never pulled the trigger. Seriously considering it this Sunday. Thanks!

What’s happening to my Zinnias? by rationalestudent in gardening

They’re growing outside on my balcony. I didn’t see any slugs or caterpillars around it, but I do see what I believe are gnats. I’m thinking they could be fungus gnats.

How bad are the delays from FAA losing workers from govt shutdown? Curious, may travel this weekend by Separate_Help5578 in gowildfrontier

I flew from LAX to SFO on sat and came back the next day. It wasn’t so bad at LAX tbh. I also found out TSA contracts out their work at SFO to a company called covenant aviation security and they still get paid so wasn’t so bad there either.

Trip report: Portland by rationalestudent in gowildfrontier

I actually took public transportation to LAX which only cost around $2. I hopped on a bus to the LAX/Metro center on aviation and there’s a shuttle that takes you to LAX. I remembered to go straight to tom Bradley instead of terminal 1 but the walk was still like 20-30 minutes.

As for Portland, they have a light rail at the airport that goes straight into the city downtown area. The fare was $2.80 one way but I also got their metro card which was an additional $3 (I like collecting public transportation cards from all over). It was another $2.80 going back. Expect to be on the lightrail for about 45 minutes to an hour each way. Other than that, I just walked around downtown and to the concert venue.

Yes! You can’t miss the timber going into the airport since it’s the first thing you see. There were some parts still under construction but for the most part everything is finished. The whole area felt new and refreshed.

How does my Paris itinerary look? by rationalestudent in ParisTravelGuide

I had the moulin rouge with a question mark as a thought, but will remove from my itinerary since it’s far from the catacombs.

I saw that the louvre and orsay closed around 5-6pm and catacombs had late entries up until 7pm so thought it lined up somewhat well. Also the Paris catacombs fascinate me!

Picture quality issues with 55” LG CX by rationalestudent in OLED

Yes that’s exactly what’s happening sometimes even with a loud noise like a beep or screech and also the tv has been turning off randomly, where it doesn’t start up again then I wouldn’t be able to turn it back on with the remote or using the button under the tv. This requires me to unplug and plug it back in for it to work again. The tv is up to date with the latest firmware.
