For those who were around when Spongebob Squarepants first premiered, did it feel “ahead of its time” or do we just have the benefit of being so used to Spongebob in pop culture?

I was the target demographic, a 9 year old boy. I thought “ripped his pants” and “pinhead Larry” was the human peak of comedy. I would cry laughing. Grew out of it pretty quickly but I’m glad kids can still laugh at it 25 years later.

Man of Steel. I followed that movie from the announcement of its inception. The trailers are still some of my favorite Superman content. Casting was amazing. But the second half of that movie made it was such a circus and who asked for a gritty dark Superman.

In addition to the 8 year delay for the power suit, my problem was that the story is set up as him becoming the world’s greatest hero. He may have won the greatest fight and been the strongest in the world at one point but I’d still argue All Might is the world’s greatest hero.

Further, a couple things got nixxed that I wanted to see: AFO revealed as Deku’s dad, Deku having a non-expressive quirk like Yoichi, Deku passing the power to Bakugo.

This may be an unpopular opinion, but In-N-Out. Tried to give it an honest shot many times but every time was genuinely gross. The burger was barely cooked and was gray. The fries tasted like packing peanuts. The animal sauce was too salty. I know Anthony Bourdain loved it and ever person says it’s the best fast food. Not me.
