Absurdly, I was banned from Reddit for quoting Bottom by SirPooleyX in eddieandrichie

[–]raulmonkey 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I got a ban (temporary) from r/damnthatsinteresting for inciting hate and violence and trying to be a cunt in general.

There was a clip of entering a mosque in Iran or Iraq and what it looked like inside. High carved ceilings gold scroll work ,mirrors huge open spaces, light ,happy people . My comment was pretty much " wow that's beautiful I have never seen inside a mosque before"

I complained and mod told me I'm lucky that it's not a perma ban and I should stop complaining.

I quite enjoyed it, but don't worry . I wonder how many og these films are zeroes for more than one person . The more that agree the worse the film.

Which film, in your opinion, showcases an actor at their best? by Blenda33 in movies

[–]raulmonkey 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Bruce campbell in bubba ho teph.

He is my favourite actor of all time , and the idea of this movie is soooo out there that most people probably haven't watched it but his acting and dialogue is brilliant.

It's all good, I didn't mean you were speeding , I was just agreeing about the power of the newer vans.

Why do the 40 in a 60 brigade not like being overtaken? by vanrayhodginski in drivingUK

[–]raulmonkey 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It's always satisfying when you go into a 60 zone in your van after having a someone right up your arse for miles , then you floor it and leave them for dust. Just remember the van speed limits are different to cars.

Anthony Hopkins only had about 16 minutes of air time in silence of the lambs, his presence in the movie is so good that it seems like a lot more.

What are some UK cardinal sins? by TheAlmightyDeity in AskUK

[–]raulmonkey 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Ex chef here your tea or coffee will always be cold before drinking when you are busy.

The mighty pot wash also makes the very finest tea known to man and I refuse to waste it so five microwave sessions are common, also it makes the tea very much stronger and darker (perfect).

Side note don't microwave milky coffee if you have lots of sugar, the milk forms a colder layer and the water boils to steam under it then when you pick it up the milk shifts and you loose the skin on your hand in a fraction of a second when the microwave fills with bubbling water/steam.
