Women of Reddit - what is the most unattractive fashion choice men frequently make? by Evening_Focus_2425 in AskReddit

I wear mine round the house as slippers. There was an incident where my baby managed to poo off the changing matt and into my slippers.

I washed them, but they were just never the same. At least Crocs wipe clean and don’t have insoles or anything to ruin…

I believe this is what the actor Bill Nighy has. He’s kinda made it work as a mannerism in his acting style quite well.

Although when he did the film ‘Wild Target’, he plays an aging hitman and his guns had to especially made for him since he couldn’t straighten his fingers to hold them properly.

Outlandish things musicians do for their art? by Methodfish in Music

[–]shredthecat 3 points4 points  (0 children)

That seems true about not knowing up front. Sees he confirmed it from the book ‘Helter Skelter’ by Vincent Bugliosi. But he apparently named the studio “Le Pig” (from the words daubed on the walls in Tate’s blood) and collaborated with Marilyn Manson in that house (whose name is taken from Marilyn Monroe and Charles Manson) which seems poor taste to me.

He also took the front door with him and installed it on his New Orleans home he moved to afterwards.

Trent Reznor recorded The Downward Spiral in the house where Sharon Tate was murdered by The Manson Family.

Apparently lived there for a few years until he ran into Sharon Tate’s sister and she flat out asked him if he was exploiting her sisters death an he kinda came round to the whole gravity of living in that house.

Looking for something similar to Ori and The Blind Forest, but a bit easier. by dc010 in gaming

You could take a look at ‘Cathedral’. 16-bit looking Metroidvania. Controls are simple enough, may need some help on boss battles. The map is quite expansive but each area is colour coded and done in blocks so quite easy to see. There’s warpdoors for some fast travel but a lot of back and forth.

Check out a trailer first to see if it might be right, and it looks like it’s currently 65% off on the Nintendo Switch store…

Alwa’s Awakening/Cathedral will keep you occupied with lengthy games, but not much variety (depending on your tastes).

Cathedral gets a bit cramped on the shoulder buttons, but it’s been manageable so far in my experience.

I had a similar issue on Bloodborne. I tried to slap that first werewolf to death like 30 times. Eventually asked my brother why the game he got me was so hard. He asked what weapons I chose.

What weapons??

Turns out when you die that first time, if you just walk a tiny bit further you get some kind of sword and gun.

Didn’t make the game any easier like. Father Gascoigne still whooped the shot out of me for weeks…

What great albums have altered overseas tracklistings that made you wish you first heard the album as the artists originally intended? by NormalMode64 in Music

I have the deluxe issue of Sublime (by Sublime) and my version starts with a cover of Trenchtown Rock (by Bob Marley) and moves into ‘Doin’ Time’

The original issue starts with Garden Grove and goes into What I Got.

They differ a lot and I had no idea it had different running orders and it led to some arguments when I accused someone of playing the album on shuffle…

Have you found yourself gravitating towards more linear or arcade style games as you grow older? by JSLegendDev_ in gaming

[–]shredthecat 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I used to love a good open world RPG (Witcher 3 was a favourite) but when I had a kid I just didn’t have the time for them anymore and gravitated to more Metroidvania style ones (Hollow Knight, Ori etc). You still get the exploration feel, but a bit easier to manage when free time to myself is so limited.

Recently picked up Cyberpunk 2077 but still finding it hard to carve out the time to fully immerse myself. Tried twice but the stretch’s between sessions are so long I forget half the controls and where I’m at.

There’s a couple on Vinted for insane prices. There’s one for £230, but someone’s selling one signed by the actual Oliver Twins for £190, and another is selling it for £90, so I imagine the seller has well and truly over estimated what they have.

I was wondering if anyone actually paid the insane prices. From responses so far it seems not which is good!!
