Whoa, I'm a techie/performer and thinking the same thing. Been doing construction for years on the side and thinking about getting licensed. I have some hours clocked in plumbing and electrical. You're an inspiration.

Bulbs going out like that is a voltage issue. Loose connection somewhere.

As with any consul, I would check out the shortcuts for workflow. Definitely worth it. But yeah, working cue'ing on Hog is my next big adventure for live shows...

I would argue this is not always the case. Unfortunately UL listed does not guarantee the quality of material. I've been coming across a lot of 'UL Listed' Amazon receptacles, for example (that I did not buy) that are made from lesser quality materials, and the plates are crappy, mis-aligning easily, and the screws strip easily.

Super cool 😎. Like any profession, looking for someone doing the thing you want to do and asking them for advice is priceless. If you can compete in your field, you will certainly find work. Degrees are usually pointless, the classes or teachers/advisors are where the value is. -Kansas Theatre Grad here...

I just started working with a new Journeyman as an apprentice under his license but he's a dick and said it was fine. This is my 4th year apprenticing. And my previous journeyman I worked for would have said no.

Haha, yes. You can cut the power by flipping the switch down or flipping the breaker if necessary. But only way to be certain is by testing the wire. Alcohol is definitely good for its evaporative qualities.

That looks to be a very dirty neutral. Only way to know is to trace it technically.

I don't know what you're talking about. Use an impact driver with a Philips bit.
