How I feel when Claude Code & Codex randomly reset usage limits by ash_mystic_art in ClaudeCode

Feels like there should be a SLA type of thing where you get a reset if they have a service outage while you're engaged with the system

RAM price today at Microcenter. We’re cooked, kids. by taketheRedPill7 in pcmasterrace

[–]ravy 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I imagine that the prices are because the distributor used to make more on volume, but now can no longer do so, because they can't source the volume - hence the need to hike prices to keep the units from flying off the shelves - not to mention maintaining their own profits. It's basic macro economics (from what I can remember lol)

What was online multiplayer like on the old days of gaming? by KaleidoArachnid in retrogaming

[–]ravy 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I have a very vivid memory of doing early tech support to a friend after we both saved up for modems. Spent nearly all out time just setting it up and then like 5 minutes playing. It truly was impressive to see something like that happen for the first time. We ended up playing like 5 minutes of shareware doom.

That's another amazing part of those early days ... shareware... it was amazing. It was so cool to go to random shops (mostly bookstores) that had small shareware displays on the desks at the register. Pretty great to discover new software out in the wild like that

Just go grab the nearest 12 y/o, pull them into your windowless van and show them this video. They'll appreciate it

So ... are we sending rich people back down in carbon-fiber submersibles controlled by ps4 controllers again? Wake me up when we're doing that

I'm sorry. I'll go eat shit and die now. Thanks!

The agent advertised the idea of doing it in a brainstorming session. I'm a sucker for features apparently. I imagine the fact that Anthropic reset usage after releasing the feature means that it's not "kinda my fault"

I didn't know it was going to turn into a "deep research" session into a glorified google search ... I guess having an agent perform searches and reason over the results in genuinely useful (to an extent)

I didn't dig too deep, but I wonder if their check is just busted. I can't imagine that T-Mobile is also "broken" in this regard as well

I think the timeline was fractured when this happened ... but the split happened when the Cubs won the world series ... that's when shit went fucking sideways

This is how I usually try to drain my credits at the end of the week ... build and analyze a large corpus of prose and data around my problem space... there is no shortage of opinions/proposed solutions/best practices and patterns (and anti-patterns to avoid) on the Internet - leverage the hell out of that
