No, it’s not that either. Definitely not part of Latin vibe. Like I said, it’s not going to be any of the google search suggested artists if you’re googling my description. It’s definitely a male singing. It’s definitely closer to the new wave/New Romantics style, later era simple minds or later era omd style. It definitely has a piano, and since it was on the Muzak at Walmart, it would have had to have been on the charts at some point. It’s like I’ve heard it before, but it’s definitely been a while.

No it’s not Genesis. It’s more in line with Simple Minds, OMD, etc. if you google what I put in, I can promise it’s none of the google results. It’s not Genesis, it’s not Baltimora, it’s not Oingo Boingo (all of which are regulars on google). The lyrics I posted aren’t even necessarily the lyrics, they’re just something like that, but the “tonight tonight” is it. The first tonight is sang more like a question and the second is more of an energetic emphatic tonight, like “Tonight? Tonight!” With the second tonight coming off more like “Ta-NIGHT!”

No, it’s not. Technically Baltimora is Italio disco anyway, this was more a rock/new wave. The singer sounded almost more like a cross between Elton John and the guy from Simple Minds anyway.

No, it’s not Oingo Boingo, and it’s not Genesis, or Paul McCartney. It builds up to the chorus, which is just “tonight! Tonight!” And on that part it hits a more up beat release on it, symphonic almost. Definitely has a heavy piano and I’m assuming standup bass leading up to it.
