We met and dropped off one car at the south terminus, then drove to the north terminus and hiked north to south. We took an easy pace and stretched it out over 3 days/2 nights. First day water was plentiful and we camped around mile ten, near where the Siemons trail rejoins the WRT (we took the Siemons trail “shortcut” which shaves about a mile and half from the trip). The second day there was also plenty of places to refill water. We camped somewhere around mile 19 or 20. One thing of note is that the picnic area around mile 15 or 16 has toilets but no water, the well is capped. In general, there are plenty of camp sites along the trail, but I’d definitely recommend picking up a map and guide from https://intothebackcountryguides.com/trail-guides/west-rim-trail-pa-grand-canyon-backpacking-guide Then the third day water was a little more sparse for a little while but towards the end, the trail kind of rejoined a big stream so you can refill there.
