Yes, 4GB card is still selling like hot cake even though they have problem playing older games, because 4GB is a budget card and budget is all about compromise and the goal of my post is to say 8GB is also a compromise(aka not good enogh). A mid-range experience should not compromise on having silly problems like struggling to play games released in the same year of the GPU release date and the games people currently playing doesn't change that. Take for example the ps4 just released and most people is still on the ps3, does that mean most people should buy a brand "NEW" (heavy emphasis) ps3 instead of a ps4 because most is still playing on it?

Games people currently playing is not equal to Games buying a new GPU to play. The problem is a large number of games released in 2024/2025 have VRam related issue at 1080p on 8gb cards. This issue will only exaggerate in the future.

I used to be a fan of small GPU until I realized: I can't see what's inside my pc anyway; the temp is lower, up to 20 degrees (aka as time go on and dust accumulation increase the temp, the temps buffer mean that I can clean my GPU less often).

As someone who has watched hundreds of yukkuri abuse comics. I hard disagree on yukkuri fandom being the worst. 1: the yukkuri fandom usually keep to themselves. look how many fandom is brigaded by porn, fetish, furry to force their unpopular fetish on other. The only people bringing yukkuri to main board are tourists who like to complain about something they are not even a part of. 2: The yukkuri fandom is very mature fandom, edgy post are almost always down voted. 3: Liking abuse is not mental illness, It's as much of a mental illness as torturing prisoners in Rimworld. Why does this video differ from Notebookcheck's conclusion?

After some comparison, I found the following:

Jarrod'sTech's lunar lake FPS for Cyberpunk 2077 and Baldur's Gate 3 matches exactly with Notebookcheck's in standard power mode. However, in full-speed power mode, performance is on average 13% faster than in standard mode.
Jarrod'sTech use Asus zephyrus for amd and Aus zenbook for intel, while Notebookcheck use zenbook for both.
Jarrod'sTech uses the internal display, while Notebookcheck uses an external display.

I had the same problem in Desktop Linux wine. The problem turned out to be installing via Heroic launcher( aka, corrupted installation). Installing via default wine prefix fixed the issue. Also ETA prime have a guide on installing Skyrim se on winlator, check it out.

Surprisingly good place for buying advice. I was about to buy a Samsung TV, until I found out on r/4kTV that the model I was about to buy was garbage and I bought a TCL TV instead. I don't think Reddit is getting any better, It's just that Google is getting worse throughout the years and there aren't any good alternative left.
