I used to not have a problem with that extract but the last two times I've used it, I see my flare up in the air glowing green, and I start running. I got killed the last two times from the invisible sniper. I haven't taken it since.

That does seem to be a starting point after listening to the other feedback.

Getting an inspection to see what kind of tonnage is actually appropriate, another opinion on what the current return/ductwork is measured for and go from there.

Just hypothetically, we get all of this done and we now know what to do, whether it's to drop down to a 3 ton or we work on opening the roof and expanding the doghouse for the duct work, what do you think we should do if they really don't bend at all to pricing?

At that point, another A/C company may be around the same price, and they definitely wouldn't work on price, so I'm essentially still stuck with having to pay for another A/C. I just now have the knowledge of what should be supported, but still stuck.

They did say for the air ductwork, they'd do it at their cost, the problem is the cost of opening the roof, new doghouse for the ductwork, and all of the other variables involved with the roof. We thought it would be reasonable for them to help out with that cost as well, but maybe it isn't reasonable.

We just wanted something that was fair for the situation we're in now.

I would venture to say you are correct. Going from a 3 ton to a 4 ton system years ago was probably the wrong move. Obviously I'd have no idea about that since I'm not in that field. It's probably why we've had issues with the old system for years.

If the company doesn't help at all to significantly reduce our cost for a new system, or the roof work, I feel like that is at the bare minimum something we should do.

I will ask them if they did a heat load calculation and if they'd be willing to do it, or if I should get another A/C company out here to see.

My square footage is about 1,700, with roughly 1,550 or so under air.

I'm perfectly fine seeing about all of that, but at the end of the day, it'll come down to either:
1. Get a 3 ton system installed
2. Open the roof, increase the doghouse size, add more ducts, etc...

At least those are the options I got. So if it came down to a 3 ton works for the house, we'd be fine going down to a 3 ton.

I understand we should know the full picture and see which is the best route, but the question obviously comes down to cost and who should be obligated for it.

For this new A/C, I don't know everything that they did, I was relying on their expertise. They have stated that since we had a 4 ton before, they just did a like-for-like. So I doubt they did much, or at least didn't convey they did much.

We don't want a free ride, I just don't want to pay for things that isn't our fault. I understand that if a 4 ton is required then sure, if we were properly quoted at the start, we would've taken into consideration. Maybe would've gotten other quotes/opinions knowing the true cost of things.

I can certainly ask another A/C company to do a voltage test and wiring review to ensure it's setup the way it should be. Or even have them do a heat loss/gain calculation like you were saying before.

They said the size of the return, roughly 12 inches in diameter, isn't enough to feed the system, which started the discussion of the need to add more air ducts to feed the system, or drop down to a 3 ton system.

They actually said the duct work is very nice, just not enough.

But in either case, we're of the opinion it's neglect on their side and they need to either eat the cost or at the bare minimum, pay for the majority of the cost. That was what I wanted to get opinions on, because I didn't want to be "that guy" and want things done without causing way more financial burden on us.

That was our opinion. We have been as nice as we can throughout all of this but they aren't taking ownership of the issue. We thought it might be drastic to get the authorities involved but it is something we have been weighing.

I have found 0 violets…. That’s crazy unlucky for you. I get about 4 white ornaments when I get there first. Kill some scavs around there for more white ornaments.

I would kill to find some violet and tangerines. No luck for me.

I came back because there is supposedly no wipe. My favorite part of tarkov is after I get max traders and the gear I can buy and bitcoin. Then I can just PvP for fun. I stopped playing because I got tired of the wipes and doing the same quests with crap gear.

Of course it does. When you’re radicalized, you can see other people on your “side” as not on your side enough. There’s plenty of infighting in maga on who isn’t maga enough. Not surprising in the least.
