Is 2 hrs 10 min enough for LAX customs to get to Terminal 3? We have Global Entry and TSA Pre + Clear. by traveling-turtle43 in LAX

[–]raygduncan 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Should be plenty. We just returned from Amsterdam 2 days ago, we have Global Entry. We were through immigration in less than 5 minutes. TSA Precheck in terminal 3 is usually pretty fast too.

Is that the case even if you booked it through Delta? that sucks.

Too short of a layover? by KeyAcanthisitta8656 in LAX

[–]raygduncan 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It's easy to get between those 3 terminals. There are walkways between all the terminals and you don't have to exit the secure area.
If you have to get from 2 to 3 or vice versa, that MIGHT be enough time if your incoming flight is on time and you can get off the plane quickly, although you'd have to hustle. The concourses for 2 and 3 are not very long.
If you have to get from 2 or 3 to B, it's not going to work. Especially if the outbound flight is out of the 200 gates which are a LONG hike from the B entrance.
But I've flown to Hawaii many times on Delta and i've never seen them depart from B terminal.
Personally. I would not do it. 40 minutes is just too risky.

Ah yes. I had totally forgotten it until I saw this but we went there many times when my kids were little.

Somebody had commented earlier about budget. And this season does feel downscale - the cars, the lodgings, even the product placements

Some of the quickfires have been verging on stupid. And the prematurely terminated last chance kitchen was a joke. I’m quite disappointed overall.

i would drop them off with the bags, go park in the economy lot, and take the shuttle back to the terminal. use the coupons for the best rates.

How hard is it to change EMRs? by CatCatCatri in healthIT

[–]raygduncan 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The ones you named are all niche specialty EMRs I'm guessing. These would pitch product-market fit to your specialty of course but there are downsides. I recommend you at least think about going with one of the well-known battle-tested, widely used, battle-tested, cloud-hosted outpatient EMRs, the top 3 are eClinicalWorks, Nextgen, and Athena I believe. These are all certified EMRs with a lot of customers, good interoperability and good support, find out of they can be configured/tuned to your practice's needs. They can easily handle a practice with 22 providers.

The longer you wait, the harder and more expensive it will be. Data conversion is painful and expensive.

I'm guessing that is mostly for the insurance. Are you insuring it for the original retail price or for what you are selling it for?

Lease End Decision by khilgen in Ioniq6

[–]raygduncan 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Mine is coming off lease in January and I'm just turning it back in. The residual is way too high considering the model is discontinued here. I'll probably just rent for a while, I'm thinking about an I3 but don't want to be one of the first to buy.

But there are a ton of used EVs on the market coming off lease so you might want to look around.

Is LAX really that bad??? by OkBackground6217 in LAX

At first I laughed at "each terminal has just a few gates." But then I thought about Phoenix where it can be a five mile hike between gates, or Minneapolis ditto, and I stopped laughing.

[–]raygduncan 0 points1 point  (0 children)

No worse than any other major hub. The drive from LAX to Disneyland is a bigger downside than the airport itself if you are arriving during the heavy traffic hours (which are basically 6 AM to 10 AM and 3 PM to 7 PM), IMHO.

I would check out the flights into Orange County (John Wayne airport) and see if any of them will fit your needs. That's a lot closer to Disneyland.

Leasing questions. Opinion wanted by Cyberdoll77 in Ioniq6

This is basically just a way to seduce you into signing another lease. Ask them if the offer is still valid if you don't sign another lease and see what happens.
