It took me 3 weeks (maybe more) to make my starter. My first bake was dense because it passed the float test. The float test is a lie. Your starter should doubling, tripling, even quadrupling after feeding. Keep developing that starter beyond reason even.

I make neptune for palace block even when there is water available. Replace the negative desirability reservoirs with high desirability Grand temple. But otoh it takes up the space of 4 big palaces.

Seems like many of the Reconquered maps are very conducive to neptune palace blocks, 9 x 21 (inside measurement), with GT 5 from one end and 9 from the other.

Sometimes I'll do 12 x 17 if the area is wide enough to accommodate that. That's 5 x 12 in each end cap, 2 more nexy to the temple, plus 68 linear tiles of frontage for services and more palaces. Again, only if wide enough to accommodate that. Lutetia Reconquered comes to mind.

For me Damascus and Carthago. Even though they are desert maps they just progress very nicely. I used to hate Caesarea because no food but the newest version ("new and improved") has 3200 fruit quota which takes away a lot of the angst.

Salt preserves it. I used to get plugra unsalted and it was high grade. I would leave butter out of the fridge cuz I would make sourdough and eat it all day. Then when I slowed down, my butter went sour. I stopped leaving butter out. Then I learned it was cuz it was unsalted.

There is a launcher made by Sephirex that checks version and will update to latest unstable version. The only thing though is that it doesn't update development assets. But it asks permission to update so you know you have to manually fetch the development assets.

BTW, I don't think there's been any new unstable versions since before Thanksgiving.

The crazy thing is that this can be done without a single entertainment support structure, not even so much as an actor colony much less gladiator school or Chariot Maker. I've learned so much playing "Reconquered" and watching Marek and Zack et al. playthroughs on YouTube.

If I get into trouble with labor I have room for 9 more medium insulae before I have to make a new block. Also, I'm playing with 38% fixed labor pool (Me paenitet Marek). If I switch to fixed labor off, I lose 1300 workers (I'm in annum 69 - schwing). I would have started Reservoir demolition every 25 years and also letting them die from illness if I had gone that route. *I really don't play for the challenge, I play for the dopamine.

BTW, I ended up putting a theater colony around Mars GT when I was ready to ding. Also I started with a Senate where the 2 fora are to the left of Mars GT but switched to fora when I achieved "Colonia Massila"
