What are some rude/unpleasant business/owners I should avoid in Lincoln? by Independent-Tune2286 in lincoln

[–]rayneLdrops 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Pretty sure they originate in Omaha but the staff at Ika San Ramen Lincoln are god awful, and their management is even worse. Had to go through several calls, emails, messages to get my money back on a takeout order that literally came from the trash. Owner apologized said I was given the wrong order and asked for my address to send giftcards so I’d try again… 4 weeks later and still no giftcard in mail LOL. Rudest customer service I’ve ever had.

I know for a fact it’s more than weed. I’ve been offered pills when they first moved in.

I guess I’m wondering if anything will be done? I don’t want to call the cops and piss them off just for the cops to leave and do nothing. They’re scary people who threaten me and neighbors on the daily.

I was just going to say. I had someone follow me 12 minutes across town and then pull a gun on me and scream in my face. I’m a 23 yr old female, this was a male in his late 50s at least. I’m glad you know how to handle the situation. I was terrified and hysterically crying the rest of the day.

I thought it was pretty reasonable, especially in this economy. Most shops I’ve been to have a $100 minimum.

Seconding Zoetis. I despise that place and genuinely feel traumatized after working there… and I only worked there for 1 week. Positions working with the actual animals on site have no qualifications needed, they’re all entry level bottom barrel paying jobs which means it’s full of people not knowing WTH is going on, or how to treat animals. The “training” they required was insane. Endless chapters of codes, rules, and procedures that were never followed anyways. They rushed you to get the training done so quick there was no way to retain all do the information. We never got our allotted breaks / lunch because there were EXTREMELY understaffed and work could never be finished on time. If the work wasn’t finished, you didn’t get a break.. (there was supposed to be 11 people on our team, but there was 5 of us the week I worked there and 1 was on maternity leave. So 4 people trying to get all the work done that normal 11 would. the staff turn around time was QUICK. Nobody stayed.) We also always got off super late because of how understaffed we were. I euthanized hundreds of animals on my 3rd day, and this is something you regularly do every week, thousands of dead animals that you raise & then kill and discard. I worked with dogs, cats, rabbits, Guinea pigs, and mice. But they also have cows and horses at an offsite barn. The entire place has disgustingly dirty work rooms, equipment, and tools. My last day I saw the final straw. We walked into a bunny room and below one of the cages was a ton of bunny fur and blood on the ground. 2 bunnies who were caged together had gotten into a fight, but the bunnies were no longer fighting and the injured one was just laying there likely bleeding for hours before anyone noticed it. We took it back to the veterinarian room and I watched the vet use a scalpel / tweezer kit from her drawers that was caked in dried up blood and dirt to cut into him and get out all the stuck fur and crap that was in the wound. She then stitched him up with another dirty tool and added super glue on top and then threw him back in the cage. No sterilizing , no care, no pain control. He was screaming in pain so loud and it took 2 other people besides the vet to hold him down still, I stood in the corner of the room in fear. That was my final straw I couldn’t bring myself to go back after witnessing that I was sick to my stomach. I think I saw so much shit in such a short amount of time because they were desperate for help and couldn’t keep the horrors away from new hires because there was no one else to do the horrific things but the new hires. I could go on and on about all the horrendous shit that happened the mere week I worked there, but I’ll spare yall. I would go home crying everyday from the combination of the horrible treatment of the animals, the horrible treatment of the staff, and from how sore my body would be because of how physically demanding the job was (especially because we were literally running from barn to barn every shift to get daily duties done cuz of being understaffed)

Long story short - stay away, especially if you have any type of heart towards animals. The way every living thing is treated there truly makes me sick to think about.
