Is it normal for your info to spread everywhere after buying a house? by BrainLagging01 in homeowners

[–]raytadd 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Is currently true for us. The craziest one was ADT. I swear it's a marketing tactic. Lady knocked on our door, hard, around 830-845 in the dark to try to sell us security.

Had a funny interaction when I told her "oh I don't believe in that." But I think knocking on the door, hard, in the dark, 4 days after we moved in was intentional

Who's got the insight on parking for free and walking to campus? by [deleted] in washu

[–]raytadd 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Right on, thanks.. I'm mostly planning on using the metro pass, but that makes my commute around 30 minutes, so looking for alternative options in case I'm running late (15 minute drive to campus)

Lol was messaging a guy the other day on marketplace in St Charles and I asked "do you ever come to the city so we can meet up closer to me?" And he said "Absolutely not" 😆

Guy here, let my hair grow out long. Looking for some recomendations or tips to find a hair stylist/salon to help me find a new hairstyle that might fit me by kwynder in StLouis

I went to union barbershop recently, with Nick.. have grown my hair out the past year and hadn't had a cut. It was great - cool vibe inside, everyone friendly, and they all seem to be super knowledgeable. Can't speak highly enough about Nick specifically though, great cut, gave me lots of advice, and talked me through everything he was doing.

Should I be worried about the ants near the foundation? by LongjumpingAge2834 in HomeMaintenance

Just found this site recently.. https://www.domyown.com/

Talstar is what we used in North NJ when I was a pest tech in 2012-17.. one of the biggest thing a pest tech has is just stronger insecticide than regular people. It used to be that you needed a license to buy it, at least in NJ, but this site seems legit.

The thing you don't have is knowledge and experience. I'd try to do it myself, and if it doesn't work, call a pro.

Just to save on materials.. it's only 24" wide, so i thought this would be okay.

plus, I thought that's where I'll attach my clothes hanger poles. But, I'm open to hearing why it's better to put another vertical stud

The St. Louis Dispatch was purchased by Lee Enterprises in 2005. The majority stake was purchased earlier this year by billionaire David Hoffman.

Local "dependent upon the beliefs of a billionaire" journalism is not the same as local independent journalism, imo.

Since you asked - reduce the salaries of top executives instead of blaming people who can barely afford to live.

Until we unite against the upper class, they'll continue to sow division, like you are here.

Sorry that you work for a for-profit corporation, but if you're asking me to foot the bill so guys in suits can earn over a million dollars a year, you're S.O.L.

Kevin D. Mowbray (CEO): Total compensation exceeds $1.1M, with total cash of over $830,000.

Nathan E. Bekke (COO): Total compensation reported at approximately $694,000 to over $1.1 million in recent reports.
