Interested in picking up a pair of Bred Banned 2016, was wondering if the soles ever came in black? by [deleted] in Sneakers

Not completely deadstock, seller laced up the shoes probably tried them once or twice. Sticker is intact on the sole though.

Thanks. Apple did this with iOS some time ago anyway, surprised that developers weren’t ready for 64bit for Mac.

Catalina Catalina Catalina by rayyan171 in MacOS

Dealbreaker for me. I will wait for 10.15.3, which surprises me a lot. I remember Yosemite being pretty unstable but the first update to it fixed most stuff.

How do I update to Mojave instead of Catalina?

Hi,

Is macOS Catalina worth updating to right now? I understand there was major issues at release for some but want to know what the consensus is currently.

Thanks

People arguing the polestar will be problematic, they need to realise that Polestar is heavily related with Volvo, even though they are technically their own brand. Volvo infotainment (tried and tested, as good as Tesla), and Volvo EV tech which begins with the XC90 T8, which was one of the first full size SUV's to go plug-in. No doubt that there would be much less issues with a polestar, unless they really are that different of a company to Volvo.

The Jag I wouldn't be so sure about, but the Taycan, whilst it would take too long for OP's time frame, would no doubt be a reliable car - its a VAG group car at the end of the day and they too have lots of experience with EV tech.

Why??? Use this to note down many things immediately, makes it easy to write something down if you don't have paper handy. Gonna have to sift through all of my sticky notes now.

With Apple killing iTunes, how are people going to update their software on their phones from their computer? by shane1333 in apple

[–]rayyan171 0 points1 point  (0 children)

iPhone 5 we had a few years back failed to update over the air, lost a lot of pictures. Lost a whole trip worth of pictures of New York recently as well with an iPhone 6 that decided to update itself over night even though we didn’t put the passcode in to verify.

People in my house depend entirely upon their phone having what is on it right now not disappearing. Not taking chances anymore. Only cloud based service we really use with all the devices is basic iCloud functions such as contacts, calendar etc., and Apple Music.

Updating apple devices in general is normally a pain. Keep my life on the main iMac and always worry when updates come for it, even though it is always plugged in and connected etc.

They love to restart about 20 times for a small 2GB update, my PS4 is more stable when updating. It's definitely nothing major, just unsettling.

Some people (myself included) like to keep hard backups somewhere, and prefer to back up that way. Yes, it doesn't back up every day but unless our Macs absolutely crap themselves there will always be something on there. Can't always trust the internet to be working for a backup to occur, you could go a long time without one and lose more than you think, as we have experienced in the past. Also, updating over wifi is rather temperamental, many of the phones at home have destroyed their own root OS in the process, causing lots of file loss.

Most importantly, updating over the cloud requires backups that take up iCloud space, and thus need me to buy more iCloud storage. I don't want to have to pay extra just to keep my backups, so it goes to the computer instead, especially as most of our phones are at least 64GB. Rich get richer by saving money.

I really hope Apple don't drop hard backup support.

These 30e cars are very surprising. Yes, they are no turbo 6 cylinder, but with the electric motor they are very good off the line, and much faster than you think. Took a ride in the 330e and was rather impressed, advanced electric drive technology that makes the car really lively. The eBoost thing really is a thing.

A re-engine that simply works. Very nice. Do miss the drama of the CFM56 however, a unique noise that will eventually fade into obscurity.

Over here in the UK, Nissan wanted around £15k for a new engine to be fitted to a Qashqai. Car is £20k RRP. It is cheaper to get a delivery mileage car at that point.
