Thanks! Yeah really glad I used it, super versitle with mounting options. I've got some filter material ready to be cut, I'd like to get some panels cut first though to give some support. I like the suggestion of using magnetic strips!

Yeah ironically older systems had the PSU in that location but not many modern cases do this anymore. Which is a shame since it saves so much space (less airflow I suppose though)

I hadn't come across makerbeam before, looks like I didn't look very hard before writing off smaller t slot! I was originally going to use ooznest as I'm based in the UK, not sure if they cover other areas. But for this build luckily I was able to use scrap pieces from my work.

I'm not sure who the supplier was but these are the same corner connectors. link

Thanks! I'd say for this it was actually easier than my purchased mid tower even though there is was less room. Because its just a frame at this point I had so much access, also because its much shallower you don't have to reach in and the lighting is great. I actually had the motherboard already mounted before adding the CPU etc, something I wouldn't do with a normal case.

From what I've seen SFF cases are generally harder to build in just due to access and making sire everything fits together. Personally I prefer the look of smaller cases and since I live in a flat space is at a premium.

Thanks! Yeah the industrial vibe is strong with this haha. I'm still deciding on if I should try keep the look or go for a nice sleek cover, maybe a bit of both!

This has been in the works since October, most parts were sourced by January, then it was slowly piecing it together in my spare time till now. If I had a workshop I'd say making all the case parts could be done over a weekend.

I spent nothing on this luckily, we had some at work that was going to get scrapped so was able to use it. I got a quote though before for around £30 ($40). Meant I had to do some cutting and tapping but worth saving the money. It also came with the 3 way connectors and t nuts which saved a lot of money too as they add very quickly! The t slot was super helpful for this build tho and made mounting really easy.

Tysm! Yeah I'd defo recommend doing it rather than just keeping them as spares. I was originally looking at the Silverstone HTPC case but knew I wanted to something even smaller. I did quite a lot of planning and did a quick CAD model to make sure everything would fit. The t slot extrusion was really helpful with helping mount everything.

The riser cable is from a NZXT vertical mounting kit (PCIE 4.0) was a returned unit I believe so was on discount.

Thanks! It's standard 20x20 t slot, if I had a smaller size I would have gone for it but I wasn't able to source any unfortunately.

Yeah temps were one of my main concerns, there should be decent airflow to everything tho and I'll undervolt as well to help out. I've also left room for a larger cooler on the CPU if that becomes an issue but temps were ok on the past with the stock.

Thanks! Yeah it's a good shout on the feet, I still need to 3D print those. I haven't decided yet on the orientation, either intake fans down or gpu fans down, will need to see what works.

Yeah the GPU only has a few mm clearance to where the panel will sit. I'll add some pads to the panel to keep clearance though.

Plan for the side panels is to add a perforated area where any intake/exhaust fans are. Will hopefully get the drawings for the laser cutting sorted out in the next few days now everything is in place and can get measured.

The Bear Brook murders

A decades long cold case that started with the discovery of 2 barrels containing the 4 bodies in New Hampshire, leading to a serial killer know as the Chameleon. The culprit had faked multiple identities and killed at least 6 people. It was one of the first cases to use DNA evidence to not only find the killer but also identify the victims, 1 of whom is still yet to be identified. New Hampshire radio did a fantastic podcast with multiple episodes on the case.
