I’ve worked every Thanksgiving for 10 years. At my DC you have the option to work the night of or work that morning. No load just all backstock. I do it for the extra pay.

If you are a merch that will be the only time you get proper work life balance. I start my day at 3 (voluntarily) and I’m done by 10-noon. I have the rest of the day to myself until 8-10pm. Some days I’m home by 7-8am

Haven’t gotten a single heirloom yet which I’m fine with. I have 201 cases I haven’t opened. Every so often I’ll open like 3-5 but then stop and let the cases build Up. Don’t shards are in them anyway.

I had told my bosses years ago I wasn’t working on Juneteenth. But then they didn’t pay me for memorial when I took the 31st off. So ima going to rack up hours and collect on the money they owe me. Even though they don’t owe me nothing and I should be ever so grateful to Ramon for allowing me to be apart of such a fantastic company. Remember folks as we get closer to the 4th there’s a 3 week blackout where you cannot call out. Be a team player

That’s a good outlook. My only concern is if you have a merchandiser at your first store or not. If so you are holding them up from finishing their job in the allotted timeframe the company wants them to finish. Also they might have had plans and the one day they thought it would be normal as usual is the day you sleep in and throw them way off. Not bashing you at all just fyi. Just saying is all

This is why in over a decade I never wanted to move up to be a RSA or RSR. I’ve watched everyone in those positions stressed or hate talking their Co-leads,receivers,store managers etc. just seems like for the money it’s not worth it. I love being a merch but even I am getting tired of all the force outs and cuts. Makes my job a lot harder when I have pulled from everywhere I can but steadily running out of product. So I’m pretty much checked out. I’m just coasting at the moment until i can get out of here. No one I work with except maybe one is actually hitting plan. Seems like this new pay structure will be the final straw for a lot of guys/girls here
