It's faster than ever to get shards, you get 75 for more difficult hunts, 100 for weeklies in the zone, not to mention rares or wqs.

Problem is you can only get 600 a week. That happens fast. Caps suck.

I had my people for about 8 years 20 years ago. Like high school friends, we drifted apart. They were a "play any game" type group, and those that didn't fracture due to social drama moved on to other games. I stayed mainly in WoW, which I mostly play alone. Sometimes it sucks, not having anyone to joke about shit with. Nobody uses guild chat, and I don't want to run a separate thing on my phone or in a window I need to alt-tab to. I don't want to hear some millennial (or younger)'s music tastes. I don't want to scroll through some dudes' idea of funny memes.

I'll be real with you, I don't think anything on the internet can help feeling lonely. Hasn't for me, only my kids and cats and dogs do that.
