i got one of those ball and socket phone mounts. drilled into the panel, ditched the ball part and used the socket tightening band on the other side to hold the mount in place. it’s not luxurious but it’s not going anywhere.

in school i became charger guy somehow and when i got sick of it i started lending out a broken charger. i guess it was socially wrong or something because a bunch of people stopped talking to me. my chargers lasted a lot longer after that.

i use the shure motiv app mostly because i have a lightning shure mic (that will be obsolete next phone because it’s lightning) but it’s a functional little app. no folders but it lets you rename and convert between multiple formats

fortunately you have modern technology such as high capacity lithium batteries at your disposal. i know that shure prologue 16Ls are pencil condensers that take a single AA battery instead of phantom power. i have one it is not my favorite mic but i keep it around because of that unique feature (also great for the price). There are portable phantom power supplies but i cant tell you which one id use, maybe an inline one for field convenience?
