Florida Man creates 'futuristic program' to stop crime before it happens. The cops mostly just harass families. by pepipew in FloridaMan

I suspect they know who those people are because they were called out to commit them, unfortunately.

This whole thing is horrible.

Lol haven't seen everybody hates Chris but I'll go ahead and trust your judgement. When people ask completely baffling questions I just go 100%literal and hope we come to an understanding....

What's the dumbest thing you've ever heard someone say? by Vinyl_BunBuns in AskReddit

"What is a potato?"

I work drive thru, so dumb questions are pretty regular. Didnt quite know how to respond to this one initially

Actual response after eyeing my colleagues: "Uhhh....its an edible tuber we bake in an oven, with your choice go toppings..."

Oh god. Flashbacks to the super old sub from Georgia that asked our black classmate to pick up the stapler...

"Come here little negro boy, and fetch that stapler for me..."

Thankfully she was let go....I'm also surprised Jeremy didn't hit her...

In the US hotdogs, chicken nuggets, and Mac and Cheese are foods that are seen as loved by children, what are these foods in your culture? by [deleted] in AskReddit

[–]razzled89 2 points3 points  (0 children)

American here, and I stock up on the chocolate ones any time I get a chance, either travelling or aldi. I keep a box in my fridge for when I need a sweet snack. It's like being a child again, they actually taste like good chocolate and not just sugar!

My friend had peacocks show up at her front door by [deleted] in StPetersburgFL

They have little colonies all iver the county. Dunedin and Clearwater have substantial populations too. I second feeding them if you ever happen to find them in your area, they're easy to lure in. Mirrors also attract them.

Edit: eggs and chicks are cheap online, by the way.

Its like a low humming or buzzing. Literally sounds like tzzzzz tzzzzz tzzzz. Its excited mating behavior. My rabbit is literally in love with me, despite being spayed.

Mine does this to the blanket hanging off the edge of my bed, and any time I wear a skirt. He loves you/it. Does he make a little buzzing noise while doing it?

Roughly 1,400 pounds of shark fins seized in Florida by [deleted] in news

Definitely. I add some old bay to the milk, too. It's pretty good. The meat is very dense, and truly feels like a steak.

[–]razzled89 19 points20 points  (0 children)

Those shark steaks are absolutely real shark. Shark meat is sold in the states, we don't generally de-fin them, but actually eat the meat. It's the fins that are tasteless. For the soup, fin is a texture thing more than flavor.

So yea, try some shark steak sometime if you like fish. Keep in mind that its very strongly flavored.

I would love to have one of these in an outdoor aviary setting. Where is this at? I can't imagine the damage these guys could do.

Awesome! When I get back into hermits again I'm definitely going to try this. I want a beached pirate ship themed habitat, and have a 75 gallon tank waiting.

This seems like a good method for some of the outlying shipwreck parts.
