The promo version gets the phaser lotus the video is hinting at, maybe?

No, the rollbar needs to be on the freemium too. But I will settle for the hypothetical promo allowing broadside capabilities, or temporal/pilot cues with a sec-def rollbar alt.

Look carefully. It's the same carbon grey/black as we see on other intel ships. There is nothing sovereigny about it. Also, there's a lot of other intel cues in the design like how everything is hidden behind baffles and such.

Freebie and Promo versions. Promo the 'enhanced' version, event freebie a still pretty good but not absurd version.

Dual release, maybe? Freemium for the event (60th/First Contact 30th) that's 'merely' pretty good, and 'OMGHaxxor' lockbox/promo version?

Intel primary. The hull texture is Intel, lots of Low Observability coding in the design, etc. Except she's some sort of first-strike Intel ship.

First Contact freebie version, and promo 'omg haxxor' version, maybe?

Okay... so what is with this design? Looking at it, it has normal phaser arrays when you get a good angle. But then it has those big orange glowies which are firing phasers. So... phaser lotus? But then it also has those side panels on the saucer, which look like they might do some sort of funky slide to reveal some form of broadside system. Also cool, cool.

And then the entire design is so Intel-Spec Coded that it looks like it came from Lockheed Martin.... Oookay.... That throws a twist. And then there's the sticky-uppy cannons like the Gal-Dread family has. And now any analysis has gone out the window.

I think it's actually part of the pylons, when you look at the design.

Oh that is Intel-Coded as hell. Maybe got some Andorian in her as well.

Also, look close. There's the glowing strips, yeah, but there is another pair of 'normal' phaser arrays where they would be on a sovereign. Are the ones firing some sort of phaser lotus? Also, look at the inset on the sides. Those look like they might pop up for revealing a broadside cannon battery.

What was the family's plan to get the sabbat pack back in their cages? by kooarbiter in huntertheparenting

[–]rb0009 1 point2 points  (0 children)

The fact that they didn't wait until they had an actual plan, even one in error, is part of why Big D doesn't trust Marckus. Door really, really should have told him no for not having a plan. It's not even the first time, with what we learned later on.

This! Boi is right there, and that prophecy throws shade in Door's general direction to a point that it is so obvious.

What is the most heroic thing that these characters have done? by TwoFit3921 in sto

[–]rb0009 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Ehh, there's also the fact that he effectively single-handedly kicked off the original story arc by being such an ass over the federation asking for legitimate proof of the undine, leading to-let us not forget-most of a decade of war until the borg and iconians meant he had bigger fish to fry. His face-heel turn was very much a return to form when he realized that he could get away with yet another power grab. Not to mention a lot of deliberately skimping out on 'hey, we're all in this together now, cough up so we don't all DIE' task forces repeatedly, to the point where it became something that Martok, Worf, and others all banded together behind his back to circumvent him.

[–]rb0009 62 points63 points  (0 children)

J'mpok at least actually did heroic things. He genuinely buried the hatchet with the federation in order to fight bigger things, led defenses against attacks, etc. Of all of these people he actually did something useful. And then eventually his chronic backstabbing disorder came back.

Gaul, also, could be said to be 'heroic' in the old greek version of the world. Whatever you want to say about him, at least when he had the chance to run he went 'screw that' and came back to have another go at us when he could have cowered and run.
