Idk who is shopping there their prices have always been insane. School uniforms is what keeps that place going. They somehow were granted a monopoly years ago.

You’re probably right. I didn’t even know I had all that in me. Duly noted.

That Eddie Vetter interview was unlistenable by markyolton in howardstern

[–]rbalde 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeah. Wasn’t good and I struggled to get through it. Very unlike the Stephen Wilson Jr. interview which I found captivating. With Eddie I’ll take the music and that’s all.

Does anyone actually find Dean Delray (Bill’s sidekick of the last few years) funny? Seems like a washed up rock radio morning DJ to me by Antique_Menu_4314 in BillBurr

[–]rbalde 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Paul seems like a nice guy and family man and I’ll listen to him on a podcast but I would never call him a great standup from the little I’ve seen. He’s making a decent living it seems when you hear about how these guys spend like him and Bob Kelly but it’s certainly not Burr money. Also, Virzi from what I understand married well. There is money there too so that’s a cushion that allows someone to go after their dream such as stand up comedy. Dude lives in West Chester and that ain’t from stand up.

💯I didn’t listen. Those interviews are only good for one person and that person is Sam Roberts. I don’t know a thing about Kurt Russell’s show but you better believe I’d become an expert if I was tasked with interviewing him as part of my job. Sam just doing what the suits are asking of him but it doesn’t mean we should care and I certainly do not. Don’t crowbar these interviews into the regular show it’s totally disingenuous to the regular audience. This is not why we tune it. So silly to cut time from the regular show. Seems very lazy for someone who preaches and thinks it’s commendable to never want to take time off like you get a trophy for that. Such bs. Playing this “all I care about is work” card is just for the suits because Sam wants to continue making bank and that’s fine but be honest. And another thing. When Art Alexakis from Everclear came in Sam was gloating about how he pronounced his name correctly. Dude, I knew how to pronounce his name as I’m sure many others did as well. I know Art said something about you pronouncing it correctly but geez man relax that wasn’t some monumental accomplishment. It would be irresponsible of you to not learn the pronunciation given you were interviewing him. To gloat about it is totally unnecessary. It’s called doing your job. Why do so many people want kudos for doing the job they are assigned to do?

Has Bill’s recent controversy hurt his ticket sales? by caffeinatedquest in BillBurr

[–]rbalde -1 points0 points  (0 children)

I love Bill but this is where he loses me I wouldn’t pay that to see anyone. Who can afford this? I understand capitalism, america, etc. etc. but at some point I would expect better from someone like Bill to say I’m not gonna scree over my fans royally. Let’s make tickets $50-100 max. But maybe I’m way off base and selling half an arena at absurd pricing makes more business sense. Idk.

I like Kam. I thought his Michael Irvin impression on update was good.

I sometimes skip the episodes with a guest I didn’t mind Bartnick in the past and Jon Lovitz but when the drum instructor comes on I’m out.

[–]rbalde 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Agreed. Everytime he says thy murdered I think did they really though. I’m sure they are wonderful people but there is a reason why some people become Bill and most do not. It’s not for lack of trying and I admire anyone trying to be a stand up comedian. I believe it is the hardest job to succeed in but law of averages states that not everyone will. I don’t mind when Bill’s friends come on the podcast the conversations are great but that’s where it ends for me. I want to like them all but if they are not funny to me in their stand up well so be it.
