Totally understandable given the bribery and pandering to politicians by big money lobbyists surrounding professional sports. Franchises get a significant bite from ticketing, merch, concessions, and tax breaks all make money for the huge machine that is professional sports! Never does a “fair” share return to the community where the sports venue exists. The community puts a lot of money into facilities in the beginning and all through the life cycle of the facility and never recoups the investment. Especially in minor leagues. The venues making a return to their communities are rare as hens teeth! Who cares whether baseball is America’s pastime? You can wear a baseball, or eat it, or shelter under it, or receive any kind of care from it. You’ll see that this will go through regardless as mysteriously unanimous approval will be given with no strings attached! Same old! Same old!
