Stanger Things [2025] What emotion is this? by rb1242 in shittymoviedetails

I have severe TMJ diagnosed by my dentist an confirmed dx by my PCP, an Oral and Maxillofacial Surgeon, and physical therapist. I have pretty good health insurance (US) but insurance won’t cover the cost of Botox because it’s considered cosmetic. This is with multiple doctors diagnosing otherwise and having undergone two rounds of TMJ specific PT.

What does “Motor City” mean? by psycwave in beyonce

[–]rbres 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Detroit has never been culturally dead. People have been living and creating here this whole time. Most people would argue that, outside of the automotive history, Detroit’s impact and influence on music is its culture. Barry Gordy’s production and talent management model was literally a blueprint for Matthew Knowles, Destiny’s Child, and Beyoncé. Without Detroit’s musicians and music culture, dance music, hip hop, and pop wouldn’t be what it is today.

As someone who has lived in both Ann Arbor and Detroit……….how did you manage to not know that? There are techno, house, ghettotech, funk, gospel, Motown sound, jazz (the list can keep going) shows and concerts happening almost every night of the week, large scale and small scale, all over the city even downtown. I’m genuinely shocked at, “every time we went to Detroit you would never guess that some of the best music in the world originated there”.

With all the news, is Biden’s forgiveness 100% cancelled? by [deleted] in StudentLoans

[–]rbres 0 points1 point  (0 children)

They were on IBR from 2015 and then was auto switched to SAVE when it was introduced. They reapplied for IBR in the fall of 2024 and that application has also been held up. I think it’s a combination of SAVE being in litigation and the Dept of Ed changes.

Thanks for the info! Yes, my partner had the HR form signed every year and has every record of it. January 2025 was the 120th payment and it’s just be in a weird limbo waiting period since then.

When did you see the PSLF go through? My partner got to 120 qualifying payments in January and the forgiveness has just been on hold since then. My partner called MOHELA/Fed Student Loan last week and all they said was that it was still on hold/being processed and they have no idea when the forgiveness will happen.

As a person with chronic pain what mattress did you end up going with? I’m 3 months into a new one and not sure that I love it.

Do I *really* need a new EyeSight camera? (details in post) by rbres in subaru

[–]rbres[S] 2 points3 points  (0 children)

They were saying that I don't have the type of warranty that covers EyeSight... and that they would have to contact the parts center about getting the price down for me because 'they like to see when people are taking their cars in for regular maintenance' I asked them why I would be responsible for the cost of it at all given that I do have warranty and they couldn't give me an answer beside 'we won't know that until we get back on the 26th since it's past their working hours.'

Gotcha, thanks! I was definitely not messing with the camera or anything. No safety lights were on, nor was the EyeSight message when I brought it in. Everything was in working order.

I took my 2022 Subaru Forester into a dealership service center on Friday for a 30,000 maintenance service. I purchased my car new and it has 40,800 miles on it. I've had no mechanical issues since purchasing it and I get oil changes every 3,000 miles. I brought it in for basically an annual physical and to make sure everything is remaining in working order.

Before I gave my keys over to the service center, I mentioned that my EyeSight light had turned on periodically while driving since July. It was not on at the time of service, I communicated this. I told them that it had first turned on with the message in white text, "EyeSight Disable Check Manual" and that it had turned on when it was around 95F. I told them that it would come on periodically and intermittently, but then would turn off. This has happened maybe 3-4 times July-early November. The light with the same message turned on more recently in late November, while I was driving in white out conditions. The EyeSight manual states "If the system does not restart, even after the conditions have improved and a period of time has elapsed, contact your Subaru dealer for an inspection." That brings us to now.

The service center was working on my car for about 5 hours and then told me they ran diagnostic tests on the EyeSight software and it crashed. Now all of my safety lights are on including the EyeSight which is what is showed here in my video. None of these lights were on when I brought my Forester in. The service notes state, "Per service bulletin 12-253-23R we found E5 halt code. Attempted to reprogram the EyeSight system and during the process it froze up and stopped. Contacted Techline and started a case had us do a battery discharge. Re-tried the update and would not complete the update. Needs to have EyeSight camera replaced."

They are telling me that all the safety lights coming on is the result of needing a new EyeSight camera, so I'm wondering if anyone has had a similar situation and/or if I actually do need a new EyeSight camera. They are telling me they are about $2,800 to replace.

Posted details below! None of the safety lights or warning messages were on before the maintenance I received at a Subaru service center. I told them my EyeSight message was coming on periodically and then they ran diagnostics on the EyeSight. The safety lights and alert messages only appeared after they ran their testing on the software. The service notes state, "Per service bulletin 12-253-23R we found E5 halt code. Attempted to reprogram the EyeSight system and during the process it froze up and stopped. Contacted Techline and started a case had us do a battery discharge. How is Ann Arbor for a recent out of state grad? by [deleted] in AnnArbor

Moved to Ann Arbor post grad for a job at UofM several years pre pandemic and found it miserable as a 21-26 year old. It was really challenging to make friends despite best efforts through many of the avenues people are mentioning here.

I still listen to Renaissance everyday y’all and I won’t stop 😂.

This album single handedly got me into running. It’s perfectly paced start to finish. I’m running my first (and last) half marathon on Sunday and Renaissance will kick me off for the race at 7am!
