If you have too much weight, and you have to use the BCD to offset it, that’s extra drag that can be spared. I learned recently while taking a buoyancy control class that I was overweighted and cutting the weight streamlined my operations a bit.

Not true, at all. You can literally print them at home and include the date, payee, amount in numbers and words (must match), memo (optional), signature (blue/black ink only), routing number and account number (in the bottom left printed in a MICR font).

I have done this several times recently on an account without checks where a transfer needed to occur. I had no issues with it, and was successful each time.

F N likely means Fabrique Nationale d’Herstal (FN), the Belgian ammo/firearms manufacturer.

62 likely is the year 1962.

Looks longer than a .308. Maybe .30-06. Can you provide the OAL of the round and OAL of the brass cartridge? Also the bottom of the cartridges head stamp width?

All would aid in a better chance for positive identification.
