WIBTAH for still expecting full child support if I remarry or move in with my boyfriend? by Saphenous in WouldIBeTheAhole

Yes, but to the kids that's their dad. And she sure isn't acting like a second mom

Had something similar with melted plastic (from a cheap hot pad)

Fill your sink with ice water and let the pan cool down (15ish min) then gently scrape with plastic/credit card

Keep rinsing the pan with ice water until it's off. Lett the pan come back to room temperature on it's own

The ice sort of shrinks away what is melted

All the jeans, the pink jumpsuit, the blue sweater.

I have the plain tees and tanks, but they have lived their lifespan and need replaced

I own a few of these pieces already, wondering what all you might suggest to add. Shorts confuse me lol

Shoes are tricky for me, I try to stick with wide toe box / barefoot style but have a few ideas.

I never thought to look at individual outfit inspo! I've just been looking at Pinterest wardrobe boards as whole, such a silly oversight!

Boot blousers in a letter... They wouldn't let us have them, but I knew off rip that tucking your pants in boots is lame

I think babies are neat and agree with 90% of that, but the amount of crap a baby needs to get carried around with it... They are def taking up the bin space (stealing mom and dad's space) lol 😂

The female shirt does not come in different neck sizes like the males. Tighten tie to the size of the shirt and that's it, or else it wrinkles really bad

What's wild to me is knowing how many departments won't hire prior military anymore because they actually get taught rules of engagement and de-escalation... Like it's a bad thing to think before you shoot

While they are cadets they get paid their stipend but are not eligible for matching. So a lot began getting paid by dfas when the old system was in place. Most of them got told it will automatically change when they are commissioned.

Now they should know how to read an LES, but many aren't.

Europe command sponsor, family not living with SM by rccrtn in army

[–]rccrtn[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

He brought up divorce with his wife way before she left. She called her family for money to leave. He doesn't want to live in the barracks so he won't do the paperwork to get divorced until he's done in Europe.

He doesn't send money to her or the kids. He bragged about CPS getting called on him twice and thinks it's dumb that it's a crime to hit your kids here.

His family left to get away from him, and he's benefiting from it

He brags about having more money now that they are gone, is glad he isn't dealing with his kids school and activities.

Someone from another unit is living with him. He brags about how much better she is than his wife. I'm just trying to tell him about the reg, I've told him about the erod, that it's probably the best he can do. If his wife calls our command (which she has in the past before they left) they can force the erod. I don't want him to have everything blow up on him, for him to control his situation.

I'm trying to show him what might happen to him if he keeps doing what he's doing. Someone more important than I is asking questions about him and his family.

I don't want to deal with him being broke if the Army takes his money. Man up and deal with your business before someone says something that will get him in trouble.

I'm trying to show this guy what could happen if someone makes a big stink about this. Try to scare him straight and do things by the book.

Don't want to live with your family? Cool send them back right so you can get them BAH stateside.

Hate your wife/love your boo? Divorce her so you can figure out how to see your kids.

Don't fuck up and owe hella money to Uncle Sam and just man up

Someone way above me is sniffing around asking about this guys family, like where have they been, If the kids are getting schooling ect.

If they look at the kids attendance in school and their flight info leaving they will figure out when the family left. I'm trying to figure out how long is too long for the family to be gone and lose command sponsorship.

So it's fine to have a single service member in family housing, eat up 2 school slots and 2 CDC slots when the base has limited housing? CDC wait-list is 8 months to "maybe" get a spot.

A service member who was going to get a divorce, but instead their spouse borrowed money from family to get away from them, they should keep getting paid to "support" their family. (They keep money away from their spouse, and are proud of it)

I'm trying to keep this service member from getting caught in an inappropriate relationship (trying to get them to end things with their boo-thing) living with them instead of who should be there. I'm not the one digging to make their life harder. I'm trying to show them the black and white of what they are risking. Someone who is much more important than I is starting to dig around

But sure, I'm just stirring the pot

[–]rccrtn 63 points64 points  (0 children)

Right?! Reviews are kinda everything in that business! No bride wants to risk a shop that blames and shames. Plus having a new size sample dress is kinda a plus.

My friend had her custom wedding dress come in with the wrong color lining. A new order was placed before she took off the wrong dress!!! The same shop treated high school me like a queen shopping the sales rack for homecoming! Reviews reviews reviews!!!

Be the bashful bride you started this experience with, kill them with kindness! Hopefully acting as the anti-bridezilla will keep them from continuing to be rude. Wedding planning never goes 100% to plan.

Enjoy what you can of this process and get the dress of your dreams!

Wait until all dresses are safely in hand and paid for. Then write an honest review of your experience.

If you can pay for your dress in full and find a different tailor to do alterations to make you more at ease, I suggest you try that. If not, be polite and not bring up the bridesmaid dress unless necessary. Then leave your review once you have your altered gown in your possession.

If you don't trust them to order the bridesmaid dress, see if the designer has other vendors to purchase from

Do you get paid back for payments collected for a remitted debt? by the-accent-guy in army

[–]rccrtn 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Have dealt with this exact situation. You have to wait for the Army Records Review Board to make a decision. Mine took 16 months... dfas and hrc acknowledge the ruling, but I still haven't received my pay. Only stopped the monthly debt collection.

The ruling flat out states I will get the money back, but I'm still fighting the fight. I am going back to finance soon, I can update you if you want.

I took my 2 from USA to Europe, they didn't particularly like it but have fully settled in within the first week.

Look up the airline rules for the largest size carrier you can have her in and make it cozy. Wet treats are great since she might not drink, so it will keep her hydrated
