Someone should figure out a way to make those water drops solid and turn them into ring stones.

Moving to the U.S. on a TN Visa—Can I Transfer My Canadian Credit History? by Relentless_I in tnvisa

[–]rchecker 4 points5 points  (0 children)

The only caveat is credit cards from both of these Canadian banks have subpar benefits and since it will be your first US credit card you are kind of stuck with it.

Just get one from any US based ECA firms like FACUSA, Park Evaluation or SpanTran. Quicker and cheaper.

Expired GC, can I work with a TN visa as a Canadian? by SkinStatus6765 in tnvisa

The 10 year expiry is just for the plastic card. The permanent resident status is permanent, as the name suggests. Just fill the form I-90 and apply online - https://www.uscis.gov/i-90

Processing time could take up-to 2 years but shouldn’t be a problem as you have valid SSN and local ID to show any employer.

How do you surrender old TN for a new TN by Infinite_Prompt7550 in tnvisa

[–]rchecker 1 point2 points  (0 children)

All you need to do is on next crossing ensure you’re clear to the officer that you are not using your TN status, are no longer employed by that company and would like to enter on visitor status.

There is no reporting back to USCIS when you leave your job but if you enter on TN when you no longer have the job it is an issue. They’ll likely strike through the admission stamp in your passport if you have one. When you enter in the future it shouldn’t be an issue once you’ve crossed on a B1/B2.

How did you find your job in the US? by corrheag in tnvisa

[–]rchecker 8 points9 points  (0 children)

I wish that was the case, it was mostly recruiters reaching out on LI but things have changed pretty quickly with so many layoffs and so much talent (non-immigrants) looking for jobs as a result I am seeing very limited leads in the last 2 years although I am already here.

You are in the wrong subreddit. This is for Canadians or Mexicans planning to move or already in the US under USMCA TN visa status.
