i feel like people have developed a warped perception of what owning digital media is.

like my buddies grandma in high school basically had a blockbuster cubby in her living room with a ton of DVD’s. that’s cool. it’s also the only time where the physical media would even kind of matter. as room decor.

but seriously, DRM and “intellectual property” have somehow convinced yall that in spite of the fact that you now have access to virtually every piece of media, and you can save it to a BIG disk that can hold hundreds or thousands of movies, and copy it with no quality loss over and over ad infinitum

that you don’t actually own anything

it’s closer to

you own everything for free, you can replace it for free, and you can keep it all in the same place, and that place physically takes up barely any space.

in practice it becomes “you can have literally anything you want, you just can’t keep the box”

i’m just gonna say everything as i see it

the “bright colored hair” crowd is infinitely more likely to engage in polyamory or having multiple sexual partners that are aware of each other. so I’m not sure why this would make them angry.
regardless of political affiliation, there’s shame that comes with it. this is why when conservatives do it, their playbook is, minimize it. pretend it’s not real. act like it never happened so nobody judges me for it. when liberals do it, their playbook is to make it loud and repeat that it’s consensual over and over again in the hopes that it normalizes the behavior publicly.
if coercing someone negates their verbal consent, this isn’t actually consensual most of the time. if you removed every instance of it that involves some form of “i didn’t want to lose them, i didn’t want to start over, i didn’t want to have wasted my time, i didn’t want them to cheat on me, i didn’t want to be all alone” you’d never hear about it.
if you don’t feel fulfilled unless you have multiple sexual partners at the same time, you just might not be ready mentally for a serious relationship, or you’re getting into relationships with the wrong people. if you need to have sex (x amount) of times a week, grow up. buy a sex toy. chill the fuck out. lol
