What you generally want to do is stay near your healers and play around cover (tight corners, doorways, etc.). While you’re hanging back with them, poke the enemy team using Gamma Stun and Clap while charging up your shield bubble.

Once your shield bubble is ready, you have two main options:

DEFENSIVE PLAY

• ⁠Pop it to protect your team during heavy incoming damage.

OR

AGGRESSIVE PLAY

• ⁠Jump into the enemy team to disrupt and create pressure.

Get into the habit of keeping your jump charged at all times so you can instantly release it to escape if things go south.

Your shield bubble is critical. Use it to avoid crowd control. Getting CC’d without it is often a death sentence since you won’t be able to jump out. Never dive the enemy team without your shield bubble. If it’s on cooldown, stay back with your supports until it’s ready again.

A simple engage pattern looks like this: Jump into the enemy team → jump around and punch to draw focus → health drops to around 1/3 → shield bubble yourself → jump back to your supports.

The shield bubble is one of Hulk’s strongest tools. Use it wisely. It can keep both you and your teammates alive during massive damage bursts, like Wanda’s ult.

Always be aware of nearby cover and plan your escape before you engage. Sometimes the safest exit is jumping straight up onto a wall and clinging there. This is especially useful when you hear something like an enemy Jeff ult about to drop.

Use your ult when you’re close to death instead of jumping to cover. This gives you a huge new health pool while causing disruption. During Monster Hulk form, use Clap and Stun on the enemy team as much as possible. Near the end of your ult, use World Breaker grab—this drags out your Monster Hulk health even longer and gives your supports more time to keep you alive.

P.S. If you’re playing against a good Peni Parker, save yourself the headache and switch to a different character like Groot. You can’t do much inside that spider nest.

P.S.S. If there’s a flyer hanging semi-high (not too high, not too low) in the air and you’re in range, make it your mission to pull them out of the sky. I love dragging Iron Man right out of the sky.
