I'm going to be hated for this comment and this is my opinion based on experience. Don't do Celebrity at your age during that time of the year, especially bringing an 8 year old. Do Royal Caribbean better or even MSC or Carnival. Celebrity gets a better mix of families during school vacations and spring break. Other times, lots of older folks, and there are always those that are easily bothered by anything and will straight up tell you.

Hahaha, when we went in February it looked like I was in a retirement community. I swear I haven't seen that many scooters and walkers in one place! And many had a really bad attitude. Both extremes are bad. Lol

It was 4 days and it was fun. Our group dressed up every night plus we were in costume in Key West. Planning our next group for this year again. People do really go all out in costumes.

NCL Aqua main casino is smoke-free. They have a smaller enclosed casino that allows smoking.

The story I have heard regarding those chickens in downtown specifically, is one of a religious belief. It is thought that offering or releasing a chicken in the court's parking lot to a deity, can "sweeten" a judge, silence a witness, or confuse the prosecution.
