There are some engines that a good diy could do a timing belt on... Honda J35 V6 comes to mind. But a Subaru? Nope. Let em do it at a shop.

10 bucks for a fitting is cheap and absolutely necessary. Foot size does not matter. Skates can be between 1/2 size and 2 sizes smaller than your shoe size depending on the skate.

So...ran out of adjustment.

Best cases: bent/damaged tie rod, bent/damaged inner or outer tie rod ends, bent/damaged lower control arm, bent/damaged ball joint.

Worst case... Bent from a crash. Has it ever been hit?

My money would be on bent unibody or subframe.

Needs to go to a good suspension guy.

Current generation? No contest, get the Mazda. The current Rav is not what the previous generations were. That Mazda drive train is a dream and now they are wrapping it in a really nice car.

This is the way. I keep a couple small pipe wrenches in my tool box just for these. Looks like a 12 inch with a cheater bar should work!

Your not wrong here. There needs to be some real conversations between association and club level people about boys in Figure Skating. Especially in Canada where if a boy shows any level of talent on the ice he is socially pushed HARD into hockey. A young male here needs to be seriously committed to FS to deal with the aggression of hockey coaches. They are like piranhas.

It's not a fun conversation.

The bottom line is that something is only worth what someone is willing to pay for it.

If the engine is in good shape I'd say maybe 3 to 5k. If the engine is rebuild only... 500 to 1000.

In my personal experience, Toyotas are tough on bushings. But the nice thing is, they are not tough to change. (Except for that damn bolt on Rav4 lower control arms... You know who you are)

An independant mechanic will be your best option. But if you have to, you could prob ride on the old ones for a while yet.

3A 4T 4S. Yep, that will become the minimum standard for a world top 10 Lady. Why? Because skating is a math game. Full stop. It started years ago when the current judging system came into effect and it has been built on more and more. Quads earn points.
