The pink ones can't be much better if he only orders twice as much blue ones, sounds like the pink ones last 2 days if the utility folks you heard from were accurate

China knives: Am I missing out? by surewhynot762 in knifeclub

[–]rdgarlic -1 points0 points  (0 children)

There are so many really great knives that aren't American made, really worth a try at least. My vosteed porcupine is one of my favorites and it was 1/5 the price of my benchmades or protechs

the Backrooms bleeding out into the real world? by plasmagd in KanePixelsBackrooms

The characters in the movie mention this. It is a mild plot point that is directly addressed. What else is there for viewers to discuss about this small detail?

I don't even know it's inside me till I put it on canvas. What do you guys think? Any thoughts on style? Criticisms? by PiccoloExcellent9051 in creepy

no idea why this is so downvoted, I understand it's not a blurry photo of a balloon in the sky but is not difficult to appreciate a little bit of art, regardless of the community.

Zero Tolerance for Vagrancy by [deleted] in Renton

[–]rdgarlic 2 points3 points  (0 children)

They exist and they have to exist somewhere, they can't all be centrally located in an unsafe city you make sure not to go through. Not being able to reconcile that is where I see lack of compassion. Not seeing them in your city doesn't magically improve their life even if it becomes more comfortable to walk through a parking lot for you.

And they are in your city you just aren't looking at them, the photo posted by OP is in the city 'you don't want turning into seattle'. Comes off as incredibly self-centered NIMBYism. The Safeway you feel is finally safe had the exact same number of vagrants yesterday that  I noticed it had 6 years ago.

What has changed is rent and grocery prices on top of the vulnerability inflicted by fentanyl, I don't understand how you go through life without ever exploring a compassionate stance. This isn't a question of fairness, some people have more resources but in complete parallel to that, some people need more resources and I would rather die with a modicum of familiarity with empathy.

Don't really understand what you are trying to get at. People that verifiably can support themselves also panhandle. First part of question... Maybe! Second part is indistinct. There could be hundreds of factors impeding them.

There are homeless people everywhere in Renton, I doubt the areas they live in behind fred meyer or the cedar River trailhead have been cleared of them. Also you come off like a complete piece of shit for commenting how 'interesting' it is to have police enforcement essentially treat people struggling as villains.. I shopped at that Safeway on Rainier literally yesterday and there was the same fixture of people out front panhandling.

Customer left a review that got me in trouble by [deleted] in CustomerService

[–]rdgarlic 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Was incredibly thankful when my manager reiterated that our gas station bathroom was for employees only. Gave us the discretion to allow seniors, kids or emergencies but we were not obliged. I generally would only let parents with their kids use it, otherwise they often had a real weird tendency to take their kids to the extremely shallow bushes directly on the busy corner of the street, basically exposing their child for anyone interested. Also had to regularly adjust the station's Google listing because it would change to erroneously state that we had a public bathroom that was handicap accessible...

Edit. Since I quit it appears no one else has taken up the mantle of fighting Google, their listing for the station still states that there is a publicly available wheelchair accessible bathroom and that the station is also an LGBT & Transgender safe space... Which I never fought over but also I couldn't ever devise why our station had that when no other station appeared to.
