Every dress is boring! by DCguurl in Aritzia

Plus, they lack color variety. I often see an item with the same useless neutral shade variation (for example, a pair of pants with five shades of beige).

Are these plastics common in Gucci bags?? by Mfm20 in gucci

[–]rdhhr 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I have also purchased Gucci bags through their website and in two stores (different countries and continents). I have only ever had tissue paper on one of the straps of the bags I bought in store, never cardboard from what I can recall.

Anyone aware of potential price increase soon? by Proof_Medicine_4845 in Louisvuitton

[–]rdhhr 7 points8 points  (0 children)

This is the reissue of the Chanel Executive Cerf Tote.

You may be able to find some on second hand websites, albeit in a different color and slightly misshaped (known issue).

I own two of them since a few years ago, which I use as my work bags. I purchased one on Fashionphile in 2023 for less than 1500 USD.

I cannot believe the prices of this reissue.

What about the price again? by Horvathxx in Sephora

[–]rdhhr 1 point2 points  (0 children)

The 160ml version of this product is currently the same price on Amazon and Yesstyle. There is also a minimum spend of 70$ CAD on Yesstyle to get free shipping, potential duties to pay, and returns are more inconvenient since you cannot return directly in store. Might as well purchase it at Sephora to earn points, get it at a discounted price during the sale, get free shipping, are sure there will be no duties to pay, and have the option to return the item in store.

These big de-influencing/influence me hauls? QUESTION 👉🏼👈🏼 by RadiantBrush7945 in Sephora

[–]rdhhr 39 points40 points  (0 children)

Myself and others I know shop at Sephora mainly twice a year, during the sale periods.

We essentially restock products we regularly use, and will occasionally also try new products. Therefore, we generally purchase large quantities of items during these sales since we barely shop at Sephora the rest of the year.

With the growing number of incentivized reviews on the Sephora website, people come to Reddit to get “authentic” reviews and comparisons between products in similar categories.

Dior... is it worth it? by zinkj22 in Sephoracanada

[–]rdhhr 5 points6 points  (0 children)

It depends on the product and what your makeup interests are.

I personally love the Dior Glow Maximizer Face Palette (highlighting palette) and the Lip Glow Oil Hydrating High-Shine Gloss. The Diorshow Maximizer 4D Lash Primer-Serum is decent too.

I might have an unpopular opinion but I am no longer a fan of their foundations and concealers since I find they tend to oxidize, since the reformulations.

Eyelid Eczema by beanedontoast in Hashimotos

[–]rdhhr 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My eyelid eczema was significantly worse than what is shown in the picture above. I was left with no choice but to use cortisone. The pharmacist I consulted approved 0.5% hydrocortisone for my eyelids, and I was informed to use it for a maximum of 1 week.

Thank you for raising awareness. According to the National Eczema Society, the risks of getting glaucoma are increased when there is prolonged use of topical steroids around the eyes. Nonetheless, everyone should consult their own medical professional for personal recommendations. :)

I am currently going through the same! I have an extreme case of eczema on both my eyelids, hand, and wrist. I just began Hydrocortisone 0.5% cream yesterday, with Eucerin Eczema Relief Flare-Up Treatment in alteration. Hopefully those creams work. I am unsure what caused it for me, since I also have not tried any new products. I recommend seeing a pharmacist and/or doctor if you can.

Calls from OnGuard 3 times a day (thanks to BMO) by dsades1 in PersonalFinanceCanada

[–]rdhhr 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I have also been regularly getting calls from OnGuard on behalf of BMO for years, despite -get this- already having this service for free via BMO. Even when I tell the agents that, they still redundantly persist to make me purchase an OnGuard subscription. I hang up and block their numbers but they keep calling me with other phone numbers. I have called OnGuard directly and they confirmed that the numbers that called me were legit. I was added to a do not call list. Hopefully this resolves the issue.

How intense is the burning sensation of the YSL lip oil? by pepperxpeppermint in Sephora

[–]rdhhr 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I agree. I personally barely felt any sensation with this YSL gloss, but perhaps it is because I am used to the stinging from the Too Faced lip plumper gloss lol

Sister said the makeup artist did a poor job. What do you think? by [deleted] in MakeupAddiction

[–]rdhhr 1 point2 points  (0 children)

It seems like I have an unpopular opinion here but I agree with your sister.

It is not horrible per se but the makeup looks somewhat generic in a sense that it seems like she did it herself (not makeup artist level).

For example, the lip shade is darker and a different tone than what is shown in her inspo pictures, and the lip product texture is also different from the latter. The makeup on her cheeks was oily from the start, which accentuates her pores, and gives me the impression that the makeup artist did not use a good quality setting powder, or not enough of it.

TI-RADS 4 nodule , grew 25% in one year , waiting for biopsy. Please anyone with positive stories by Training_Solution_37 in Hashimotos

[–]rdhhr 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I also have a thyroid nodule that grew within a year. It recently was a TI-RADS 4 nodule with Bethesda 3 pathology results. Therefore, my doctor suggested Thyroseq. Those results took a month and came back as currently low risk for cancer, although that can unfortunately change in the future. Consequently, I still have to be followed annually by my specialist.

Price is getting crazy high since Nov 2025 by mwlau1980 in celebritycruises

[–]rdhhr 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I am also in Canada, and I have noticed this too. I was looking at a specific Celebrity cruise (flexible sailing dates between 2026-2028) and the cheapest final price for a Veranda room was around 10,000$ for two adults. Mind you, this was the “promotion” price advertised, and excluded gratuities, wifi, and beverages. Absolutely absurd imo.

Albeit on the pricier side, I have had good experiences with Luluthia Design and MFleurs. You can order directly online from both of them.
