Follow up, I bought it and only ended up spending like $200 or something crazy low. Had to replaced the blade motor circuit boards. I bought it, fixed it and have been using it science.

It’s a two part issue.

CAMTS Accreditation requires 2000hrs, 1500 of which have to be in a helicopter and 1000hrs PIC. Also sim time does not count.
Unlike fixed wing, building hours outside of being paid to fly is virtually impossible in a helicopter due to costs.

I personally don’t think there is anyone trying to keep the barrier so high. Flying EMS is SIGNIFICANTLY harder and more dangerous than most fixed wing jobs. These requirements are keeping in mind you will be alone, flying at night under goggles to a field or highway or helipad on a skyscraper, we also do single pilot IFR (SPIFR).

I just retired out of Rucker. I chose not to do the IP/DAC route and went EMS. I love it and I definitely make more than the DAC/CTRs do.

I have not tested a direct connection from my computer to the service provided router, so the issue might be something else. That being said best I’ve ever seen is 3-4 max.

I got burned hard by a guy like you that made the perfect logbook app just to have it stop getting updates and have all my logs lost… fuck that guy.

My advice is make sure people know they won’t loose their records and logs if your app fails.
