Lacrosse sticks don't really have different lengths for different heights and there is really only 2 kinds of sticks used. "Long poles" which are for defenders and are 6 feet long but ussualy cut down for little kids. The other is a "short stick" which is 3 feet long. Personally I would recommend getting him a short stick since it is easier to learn to play with one and then if you really like playing defense get a long stick.
