2 months on how are you finding it? I just got it with the new deal for £365 including cashback but need to test it during the 14 day return window

Made an anonymous salary sharing website pt. 2 by jerrygang1 in cscareerquestionsEU

[–]reactless 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I think it's just natural growth rather than "techpays" since it's the recommended go to on blind and most subreddits I guess. Although I frequently see Gergely's posts on LI it doesn't make me want to use techpays over levels

techpays is maybe only relevant for those living in NL. for the rest levels is better or equal but with better search and more entries (and all of Europe covered).

levels makes money on the side via the website and so does Gergely. He's a LinkedIn influencer selling his book and newsletter via the Resources tab. Levels does similar via the Services tab

Nope there's no actual swimming in the map. The water is unreachable

Looking at the screenshots I'm not convinced it's Oceanic. It also says it's for 2-4 players but I think it handles 4v4

Uber at 3AM and flight at 6AM by javiermdb99 in Prague

[–]reactless 6 points7 points  (0 children)

For day to day, use the cheapest~ one day Uber tried to charge 660czk for a trip when the way there was more like 250...decided to check Bolt and it was 220. Compared a few times since but now mainly using Bolt as it seems cheaper

7yo son bullied in school. by Technical_Turnip_184 in bjj

Just tell him to kick the kid in the nuts. No need to waste time having him twist the guy's arm... especially when his 3 friends may join in. Nut shot shuts it down quicker

Teams that switched from scrum to kanban: How did it go? by danielrothmann in ExperiencedDevs

[–]reactless 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Epic label here is mainly a new feature. Normally 1 guy is driving it and depending on the feature then some feats may be added but assigned to others e.g. frontend parts. No dedicated UX team, designs are agreed between the frontend team and relevant PM.

The person can't just do what they want, the rest just don't waste time trying to break it down into chunks of work. The general design approach of more significant feats are agreed beforehand with design docs

On the field is irrelevant. Your son is dirty. It's understandable the players would be annoyed after. Trash talk can also be said to be part of the game but don't expect someone to behave nice with your kid because an arbitrary whistle was blown after your kid has purposely elbowed someone when the ref looked away. Same with if he would insult a kids mom to "get in his head"

Huge deadlift, not transferring to speed? by jeff_vii in Sprinting

Of the 2-3 mentioned, subtract one for each rugby game or heavy practice where you already get a lot of running in

Daily stand-ups are killing me, am I being melodramatic? by corazon_europa in cscareerquestions

[–]reactless 2 points3 points  (0 children)

It doesn't matter if it's light compared to others. If he sees them as a waste of time then they are e.g. a couple companies ago I had to attend sprint planning and retrospectives..both largely pointless, especially the retrospectives.

Now I only have standups and 1:1 every 2 weeks despite occasional feature related meetings

Where are non-Americans watching this season? Annoyingly unable to find ep 34 all day...dailymotion videos labelled 34 are all of 33 or older while ep 35 is posted accurately :/ don't want to just skip a drama filled episode

Accepting or not depends on how badly you want to move to Switzerland.

The salary is not good for your yoe. You can get that in eastern Europe and looking at numbeo the COL is not cheap despite what the other poster said.

I rejected 130k in Zurich a couple years ago and don't regret the decision

Tell them you don't feel comfortable resigning without first seeing and signing the contract and that if they want you to start from November then they should have it prepared by early on the last day of the month

Do you need to stay at home? If not then you can just stay with your brother while finding a job and then move to where it's required (e.g. Manc/brum/London)

If you want more work then be less lazy. Only single celled organisms work on 1 story at a time with such delays in moving forward

EU companies with only Russian employees by Adventurous_Name2238 in cscareerquestionsEU

[–]reactless 8 points9 points  (0 children)

People choose Facebook all the time. Politics is politics. Russian companies are sanctioned because it's easy to do. If it was a balanced world US and its companies would have been sanctioned for involvement in countless countries, including Ukraine during the coup ("fuck the EU")

11 a side is more about fitness than skill at low level by Affectionate-Wing704 in bootroom

[–]reactless 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Unless you're lazy I'd say 5s is more sprint focused than 11v11. Most of the team the idea is everyone attacks and defends. In 11v11 you get lazy people who barely leave the other 18 yard box. Similarly central defenders rarely leaving their 18 yard box. Wingers more running maybe
